Duck was excellent. One of the better restaurants in Quebec City. Dessert was a bit too sweet for me.

La Planque was an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The quality of the food was exceptional — thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish felt elevated without being pretentious. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening. They were also completely fluent in English, which made the experience seamless and comfortable. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance — upscale yet relaxed, lively but not overwhelming. It’s the kind of place where you can truly enjoy a great meal and conversation. Highly recommend if you’re in Quebec City — we’ll absolutely be back.

This is Quebec City’s finest restaurant. We’ve tried all the others. Not only is it better than those places you just checked out, it’s probably cheaper. It’s in an unassuming neighborhood, walking distance from nowhere, but the food is amazing. After my first bite of duck leg, I exclaimed, “this is what I always hoped duck could be!”

La Planque, what can I say? You absolutely blew me away on my last night in Quebec City. I sat at the bar and the bartender was outstanding, thoughtfully walking me through the menu and offering spot on suggestions for both food and wine pairings. Every single dish was thoughtful, distinctive, and genuinely delicious. Each stood confidently on its own while still feeling cohesive as a meal. The service was excellent with clear care and attention to detail throughout, and the atmosphere was lively and buzzing without feeling chaotic. Truly exceptional food and service from start to finish. You will be my very first stop the next time I am in Quebec City. All the best to your team.
