Gravy tasted like water, not a fan of their curds. Hot dogs were ok, Fries were a positive. If I go back I’m just getting fries

Good traditional poutine made with freshly cut potatoes. Hot-dogs are often 2 for the price of one. Efficient and friendly staff.

Good for the price. The server (I think maybe owner) was very nice. He provided a quick and thorough service. Food tasted good too, though the potatoes were a bit sweet which isn’t my preference, but overall still good.

My daughter loves poutine, so she tries most poutine places in ottawa and gatineau areas Almost all the times she'll oder for me too. I always say thanks to her and nod whenever she asked ( "how was it). Then she ordered from here and I loved it! It wasn't greasy nor salty, and the gravy wasn't too thick either. Great experience!!

The staff is rlly nice and the poutine was goooddd definitely recommend it also they had the walls painted around it which gives of a rlly nice homie vibe . The staff has changed also, the new one is rlly kind

If you love '70s diner great food, you will love this place! The hamburgers and the fries are iconic! Been going there for over 50 years and nothing has changed about this place! No inside seating. Couple of picnic tables outside. We always grab and go. Really delicious! Have to try it

A real treat while visiting from near Toronto. Flavourful gravy, LOTS of very squeaky curds, and the fries were nice and crispy. Good portion for the price. Sorry for my awful French while visiting haha, and thanks for the great meal

This used to be my childhood absolute favorite fries and poutine place, but these days the fries are soggy and the poutine gravy lacks texture and taste, they need to make it thicker and saltier. I ordered a cheese burger also, but the meat was tasteless and dry. I also ordered two hotdogs, they were fine, but nothing special. Generally, that restaurant is not comparable to it's glory days of the 70-90s, it's run down, the food is terrible and the staff is odd unless you're a native French. Save your money, head to Saint Joseph and find LA PATATERIE HULLOISE, it's much better and they have a lot of comfort food option. If you feel adventurous, go into inner Gatineau and look for Ga Ga Poutine. Sorry guys, but La Patate Dorée is on life support and I can no longer recommend this venue, I really wanted to do a much different review :-/ To those English Ontariens leaving 5 star reviews, believe me, this is not a 5 star poutine, it's gross and disgusting, try these places: - Ga Ga Poutine - La Pataterie Hulloise - Le 138 - Patio Vidal You're welcome....

The woman there with the short hair is very rude and never nice when you order poutine . Not sure what her problem is but there is no reason to be mad all the time .

Best fries in my opinion. I don't know if it's because of the potatoes they use or the frying technique, but the fries are a little sweet.

Just ordered 4 poutines and they’re absolutely amazing, the lady working was amazing and was awesome. I highly suggest this place
