This used to be my childhood absolute favorite fries and poutine place, but these days the fries are soggy and the poutine gravy lacks texture and taste, they need to make it thicker and saltier. I ordered a cheese burger also, but the meat was tasteless and dry. I also ordered two hotdogs, they were fine, but nothing special. Generally, that restaurant is not comparable to it's glory days of the 70-90s, it's run down, the food is terrible and the staff is odd unless you're a native French. Save your money, head to Saint Joseph and find LA PATATERIE HULLOISE, it's much better and they have a lot of comfort food option. If you feel adventurous, go into inner Gatineau and look for Ga Ga Poutine. Sorry guys, but La Patate Dorée is on life support and I can no longer recommend this venue, I really wanted to do a much different review :-/ To those English Ontariens leaving 5 star reviews, believe me, this is not a 5 star poutine, it's gross and disgusting, try these places: - Ga Ga Poutine - La Pataterie Hulloise - Le 138 - Patio Vidal You're welcome....
