I discovered La Joie Shawarma about two years ago, and ever since, it’s been part of my weekly routine. The food quality is consistently top everything tastes fresh, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. The garlic sauce and hummus are incredibly flavorful and perfectly made. As for the beef and the chicken shawarma sandwich, all dressed with spicy sauce and sesame, it’s hands down the best shawarma I’ve had in the Ottawa–Gatineau area. Nothing else comes close. I honestly can’t enjoy shawarma from anywhere else now. The owner and his team are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Just a tip: try to get there early at lunchtime because it gets busy really fast! Shukran brother!!

The owner is very nice and respectful, always smiling and willing to serve. The food is excellent, overall very good.
