Bit of a late review since my visit in july* I came in for my birthday with a group of 20 people. Soon as we arrived, we were greeted by absolutely zero smiles from the hostess & waitresses. It took more than ten minutes to get water, and the waitress rushed us to take our orders while the group wasn’t even enterily seated. The food was served very sporadically, with the pizzas and the pasta being served at different times when we ordered all together. Food was good tho!! 🙌🏼 The waitress never came to ask how our food was, but came regularly to try and take away our plates so we could pay and leave. Overall very disappointing knowing i was service such service on my birthday and we were treated as a nuisance:(

No professional service. Just cafeteria tables and cheap chairs. The price are crazy expensive.

I notice this is your first review. Such a shame to use it to create wrong impressions. Our establishment is called La Grange Urbaine which translates into “The Urban Barn.” Our concept is to create a casual and comfortable environment (not cafeteria style and not cheap) with a focus on authentic Italian cuisine, all the while allowing clients to bring their own wine. We are a popular local restaurant and are grateful to have many loyal clients who appreciate our business model!

So, this was my experience at La Grange Urbaine, an establishment advertised as an Italian restaurant, but is it really? Serving calamari with pasta sauce? I don’t think so. The food overall was okay, but the service was absolutely horrendous. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever experienced worse customer service, which makes me wonder: is this the staff’s doing, or a reflection of how the owners train them? This was during our staff Christmas party (16 people). We arrived around 4:30 p.m., and by 5 p.m. we were still waiting for two people. One guest asked if she could place her order since she needed to leave by 5:45, but was told no because we were only allowed to order once everyone arrived. She ended up leaving without eating. We were then asked to get up and move down two seats so they could free up a table in case of walk-ins, even though we were already mid-conversation and enjoying our wine. In the end, no one ever used that table. We were seated for almost an hour without being offered water; we had to ask for it. Midway through the meal, someone asked if bread came with the table and was told yes BUT only if we asked for it. Another guest ordered garlic bread and was asked if she wanted cheese, without being informed it was an extra charge. She only found out when the bill arrived. At one point, someone was even nudged on the head three separate times. When the bills were brought, the server finally asked how everything was. I shared my concerns, and suddenly his customer service skills appeared… too little, too late. Shortly after, who I assume was the owner emerged from the shadows and put on a bit of a show. I repeated my concerns, and he offered us bignets. Instead, we were given a mini panettone, which I can only assume was gifted to him, as it wasn’t even on the menu. I guess he tried to save face. If that’s the case, at least bring what you offer not a mediocre desert. Long story short, do yourself a favour and don’t waste your money. This is very much a you had to be there situation. The experience was far more baffling in person than I can even describe. Oh and by the way, salt your entrance. Since I dont have the option to reply to your response, I will do it this way… It’s truly humbling when someone takes accountability instead of simply making excuses 😉 Buon Natale e vi auguro che nel nuovo anno possiate rivedere e migliorare le aspettative legate al servizio clienti della vostra azienda. 🎄

Wow! I don’t know where to begin. You were obviously disappointed and as the owner I apologize but I do want to correct a few things. The calamari sauce is not a pasta sauce. I’m sorry it was not to your taste but do not give it a name that it is not. We are a bring your own wine which means certain extras are not included. As in most places, when we serve a table, we wait for the entire table to be seated. Some restaurants won’t even seat you till you are all present. The panettone you were offered is something we purchased to give to our loyal clients. It was a gesture of good will. And for your information, the entrance was indeed salted repeatedly today. But with this weather it has been difficult to keep up. We are grateful no one got hurt. Again, on behalf of our team and myself, we are deeply sorry you did not enjoy your experience. And hope you will come again to give us a chance to change your mind about our place! PS siamo italiani veri!

The pizza here is delicious!! The pasta’s just as good but definitely the pizza is the star. We had the pappardelle pasta and the Caesar salad and both were amazing. Don’t forget to bring your own wine. Their fritters are also really good. Honestly do yourself a favour and come here for dinner because you won’t be disappointed and you definitely won’t be leaving hungry. They’ve got booster seats for kids, but my only little suggestion would be to have some crayons and a colouring sheet since there were quite a few families with little ones when we were there.
