Had reservations on 02-14 (7:45 pm). We were about 5 minutes late, but it still took the hostess close to 10 minutes to seat us. Multiple employees walked by in that time, and not a word. The food was good (apps: arugula salad, burrata) to average (12 oz rib eye). Some of the menu options were unavailable like the tomahawk or Kansas "bone-in strip", which was disappointing. Due to the busy evening, we only received our mains around 9:30 pm. The thickness of the rib eye was sub par. It came out between cold and warm and the doneness was set (medium to medium rare) as explained by the waitress (acceptable, but still weird for a steakhouse). It was also precut poorly. I think it's best to cook the meat as a whole and let the patron cut the steak themselves. The one positive was the steak was seasoned well. The waitress couldn't even muster a smile at the end of the meal. Very blasé attitude. I've been once before in 2023 and that experience was amazing. This time was pretty disappointing in comparison.

OMGosh this was our first time here and we absolutely loved it ❤️ from our coats being taken to coatcheck, to our seats, to the sweet interactions, to the food, everything was perfection 🤌🏻
Excellent service from Elizabeth. Amazing food. Parking is an issue
The food and the service were absolutely fantastic! Anything you have at Campagnola will always leave you completely satisfied!
Great experience! The staff is great, the courses are delicious and abundant, the atmosphere is nice and cozy.
The food was excellent. We really enjoyed the Valentine's Day special.
Excellent service and excellent food. First time at the Campagnola but not the last! A must for the area.
I have been three times to La Campagnola. Once, almost 20 years ago when it was an italian BYOW, before it was an Italian steakhouse. It was a good italian, one of the best Italian BYOW for sure. My 2nd visit everything was close to perfect: caprese salad, filet mignon and another steak, fries, rapini, mushroom. It deserved 5 stars. My most recent visit, the essentials were ok: the fileet mignon was very goos, but the rapini tasted of water and the tiramisu was ... I did not finish it. So, 4 stars. Strangely, I had the same experience with Gibbys in old Montreal, the steak was good but the mushrooms and spinach were awful. This was 8 years ago, and have never returned to Gibbys. Maybe I will return to La Campagnola, but when you botch something simple, it is not reassuring.
It was so great I will have to come back and write a real review. Finally giving an up date review we were a group of 5 and we added a last minute guest to make it 6! La Campagnola made that change happen with out any problem. Walked in to a very nice warm atmosphere to a very nice private table that fit perfectly 6 of us. Maybe the best seats in the house! Felt alone but still part of the nice mellow vibe of most likely their every day clientèle coming in for their mamas food. Our waitress was very welcoming and knew how to serve us well and even help us make the perfect choice for our very wide range of different tastes. Perfect place to eat like Royalty and I mean eat. Wow every servings were served perfect temperature and nicely presented and cut to perfection! Pure artistry! And we were lucky to have at our table a young woman that knows her wine!! So our meals were paired perfectly. Thank you so much to the great staff and our waitress that listened to us and help make our meal and time there so much more!!
Steak mignon, carpaccio, caprice salad - very tasty! The waiters are friendly.
Went there this previous weekend and we had a wonderful service from the staff at La Campagnola. They were accommodating and helpful to our requests. The food itself was amazing and cannot find any thing to complain about. We ordered the calamari, meatballs, gnocchetti and the tagliatelle, and they were A-1. Would recommend going. Reservations are recommended.
Beauty cozy place to have some fun with friends and family. I was searching for a BYOW steak restaurant. Very few choices in Montreal, but La Campagnola stood out in the search and they didn't disappoint. It had a good selection of streaks and the quality is up there. Good variety of choices in the menu and each was as good as you would expect it to be. The staff was very friendly and helpful and contributed to the great ambiance of the place. If you're looking for a good time with good food, you should visit it!
