Our server was constantly bothering not just our table, but everybody he was serving. I’ve NEVER seen nearly 10 tables leaving before the end of second period of game. Probably one of the worst place to watch game. Awesome atmosphere, big screens with constantly harassing waiters taking your unfinished food, even plates, utensil, water bottle, pushing you to order more and more. They don’t want you to get comfy. They don’t leave you alone. I’ve never been to any restaurent and being asked if the food is finished this often in this short period of time. We weren’t there to vacuum out the entire plates in half an hour and leave. We were there to order foods to enjoy during the game. They clearly mention our seat is reserved for the duration of game when you make a booking. But the servers didn’t make it feel like it at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND We went on game night and ordered bunch of foods to eat throughout the game. The server came and asked if the food is finished, probably 15 min after we received food, when we clearly had unfinished food on our plate. Second time he came after another 15 min, he was so ready to take our plats, asking if the food is finished. We were NOT finished clearly. He came back as we were already unpleasant, asking if we want dessert, while taking our utensils, plates, even popcorn basket. Mind you, the game was still on second period. We did get dessert, but since they took all our plates, forks and knives, we only had one tiny spoon that came with dessert. We asked for utensils, he gave us another tiny spoon. We gave up and decided to leave the place ASAP. I asked for a check after the end of second period. The waiter started serving new seats that he managed to empty by harassing others for nearly 20 min. I asked for check again. He came and took our water bottle 😂 and brought check after another 10 min. It was happening not only our table, or with my server, but the ENTIRE place was filled with servers trying to take unfinished food, being pushy.

Went to La Cage to watch the game and honestly had one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. The waiter kept coming to our table every few minutes trying to take away our plates and drinks even when we were clearly not finished. Sometimes he would already take things away and then immediately ask if we wanted to order more. We ended up ordering extra food and even dessert, but the whole time we felt rushed and pressured instead of being able to relax and enjoy the game. At one point they even took away our water bottle while we were still sitting there. By the end, we were so annoyed that we didn’t even want to stay and finish watching the game anymore. What makes this more frustrating is that their website clearly says customers can stay until the end of the game. I’ve watched games at many other restaurants before and never experienced this kind of treatment. When we finally asked for the bill, we still had to wait around 30 minutes before getting it. Despite the bad experience, we still left a tip, but honestly we regretted coming here at all. Definitely would not go back.

Went on a very busy Friday night.Place was jammed packed , of course , everybody was watching the hockey game. No, wait time to get seats at the bar.Drinks and food service was very fast and the servers and hostess were extremely friendly , much appreciated. The beers were cold.The nachos were absolutely delicious. Had a great time with highly recommend for any occasion.

Le service était nul , the chicken wings were heated in the microwave and not fresh at all the chicken burger was over fried and the waitress was very rude we gave her tip and she had the nerves to ask for more trying to embarrass us front of people while we left her tip she wanted more , In Quebec, tips are voluntary unless a mandatory service charge was clearly included beforehand , I’m very very disappointed I will be avoiding this place next time

We tried the beef burger along with the steak and fries. The french fries were actually really good and paired nicely with the different dipping sauces that came with them. The steak, however, was a bit disappointing. It was cooked fine, but flavor-wise it didn’t feel particularly special or memorable. Considering the price point, I was expecting something richer and more impressive in terms of seasoning and overall taste. On the positive side, the service was quick, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal, which made the experience more enjoyable. The ambiance was also really nice, with a cozy and polished atmosphere that made the restaurant feel inviting. Overall, the place has a good vibe and solid service, but the food itself felt fairly average for the price.

I had an amazing experience at La Cage! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming, perfect for a great night out. The food was absolutely delicious everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The menu has a great variety, so there’s something for everyone. The service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the visit. Whether you’re going for a casual meal or to watch a game, this place delivers every time. Definitely coming back again soon!

as someone Visiting Montreal and working at a steakhouse restaurant at home. This restaurant gave great steakhouse/Pub/Bar Vibes. Foods great and the servers are very polite and helpful. And the service was great for a quick dine in experience.

I think reading the reviews people are confused about what La Cage is about. It’s not about the best meal you’ll ever eat. It’s about an amazing atmosphere to watch a sporting event. Great service, great atmosphere, decent food and drinks. If this is your understanding and expectation it is 5 stars all the way. If your focus is quality of food and drink then there are many better option. Personally we loved our experience watching the Canadiens kick butt and we would definitely return.

Got food poisoning here. I would really question their food quality and hygiene after this bad experience. This is not the first time, and others have had the same experience here. Beware.
