Coffee isn't dialed here. 5th time coming here since opening, ordering a cortado. Coffee tastes stale, watery and bitter. Dial your coffee if you want to charge people $5+ for a coffee drink...

Hi Jeremy, we always dial in our coffee every morning and our beans are always fresh, if something was off, the staff would have been happy to remake it for you. 🙏

My experience here wasn’t good. The staff made it feel like ordering a coffee was an inconvenience, which immediately set the tone. After paying too much for a coffee that was honestly very underwhelming, I was told I had to pay extra just to use my laptop - which felt unreasonable. Between the service and the quality of the coffee, it wasn’t a place I’d return to.

Hi Stacy, At our Griffintown location, the downstairs café is designed primarily as a social space — a place for conversation, connection, and enjoying food and drinks. For guests looking to work or study, we offer a dedicated coworking space upstairs within the same building. We have daily passes: $5 for three hours or $7 for the full day, and both options include 20% off beverages during your stay and wifi connection. This allows us to maintain a café/ buvette atmosphere downstairs while also offering a comfortable, work-friendly environment upstairs. As for your drink, we would have been happy to replace with other or redo. We appreciate your visit and hope to see you again

This is a ridiculous place that forces you to pay to stay in their shop to study or work. Even though I already pay for a drink. Not advised unless you want to waste your money for nothing. Avoid at all costs

Before thinking of going there, do yourself a favour and go read the 1/5 stars reviews. You’re welcome. Rude and unprofessional baristas. They force you to pay to work on your laptop after paying 10$ on pastries and coffee, which weren’t even worth it. To my surprise I asked if this was a permanent thing, the barista almost rolled her eyes at me and I responded yes in a dry fashion. Later when I asked for a glass of water, the same barista didn’t even bother answering, instead, she unashamedly just pointed the water fountain to me while making a rude face. There’s a reason half of the reviews have rated this place 1/5 - You can have the nicest coffee shop but if your customer service is bad, it’s worth nothing. Clearly the management needs to train their employees to understand good manners and professionalism. First and last time - There are way better coffee shops out there, because everyone deserves to be treated better than this.

Regarding the laptop policy, we do have a coworking pass in place at the Loft and the pass also includes 20% off drinks for those working from the café, That said, the experience you describe is not the standard we aim for. Came on a busy day thinking it would’ve been a quick takeout. Had to wait about 1 hour for my chicken sandwich. I don’t know if they lost my ticket but it looks like the kitchen was really busy and in the process. I think I was just an exception but it did upset me. The staff was over all nice. They definitely were understaffed or the way they work with takeouts needs to be revised.

Amazing place to just relax and experiance. Great quality coffee and food and the interior design is the main attraction in my opinion and keeps you coming back for a good sit down.

❤️ LPD! Laid back energy... industrial loft space with retro decor (tons of plants!)... great lunch/ brunch food with delicious patisserie... coffee and wine! amazing got cocoa during the winter! perfect for date night, game night or chilling with friends.

I never give reviews but for this time I have to do it! I ordered a filter coffee and the taste was burnt , not fresh and also a scone which it was obviously old , I requested to have it warmed up and even though it tasted as chewing gum , this is the first time happened even though I come often. Very disappointed to pay for old stuff!
