Saw rave reviews about La Buchette and decided to go here for dinner on the first day that we landed in Quebec. Perrine was so lovely and absolutely accommodating, and we had the best time! We got to share the appetizers for two, which came with cocktails, and we ordered the Le Bûcheron, which was the most decadent chocolatey dessert there is! The vibe of the restaurant is really great + they also serve a mean breakfast! Unfortunately I couldn’t go back during my trip to try out the breakfast, but it’s on my list whenever I do go back!

We seek this location out everytime that we visit Quebec City. The food, the service and the atmosphere are superb. It is a must for breakfast, or any other time of the day.Pedro is a master in the kitchen. Delicious 😋, thank you.

I dined at La Buchette during the last week of December and am finally sharing my two cents about the experience. The service was great and the atmosphere felt warm and cozy.I was really looking forward to a cheesy onion soup moment, but it wasn’t what I expected. The bread and cheese were served on the side, so you don’t get that dramatic cheesy pull you’re hoping for.The presentation was beautiful, but overall the flavors were just okay for me. I personally felt the seasoning leaned a bit on the bland side, but maybe that’s just me having a saltier palate. One thing I would like to note is that their menu changes seasonally, so don’t rely too heavily on older reviews because dishes might not be available anymore.

Rude, rude, rude. The host with dark hair and beard refused to seat me at the bar, which was fully empty, instead he asked me to wait OUTSIDE, served a few tables and then took me to sit at the empty bar. He wouldn't let me even stand at the door. He told me to wait outside! When he brought me to the bar I said I couldn't sit here earlier, he said no, he was too busy (there were two servers and only 6 tables occupied). When I sat at the bar the service changed to the woman with blonde/brown hair and she was lovely. The food was ok, although tiny portions. I would not come back after the way I was treated. While in town we needed a place for our group to meet for meals. This won't be it. Hope they do better with training the rude staff member after this review. Table 208 Feb 16 at 10:52am

We had the duck carpaccio for appetizers and the beef bourguignon and maple glazed pork shank for entree. They were absolutely amazing!!! Randy provided exceptional service. Would highly recommend. We are only in Quebec City for 3 full days and will be back for a meal at least once more before we leave. Ambiance had rustic charm.

We came here 1.5 years ago on a food tour and came back specifically for the lions head mushroom entree, which did not disappoint! Aside from that deliciousness, all of their other food, AND cocktails were great, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend, and I'll be back next year!

Friendly, clean, large portions. This place was recommended to us prior to our visit. It lived up to the hype. Thanks Matthew for a great experience to start our 1st day in QC.

We visited La Buchette for dinner while vacationing outside of Quebec City. The atmosphere, food, and service were fantastic. The vibe is very cozy and home-like. The restaurant is outfitted with a brick and exposed wood interior, much taxidermy, and one half of a vehicle. The other half is located in their related restaurant, La Buche. Very very cool atmosphere with great music playing. I loved that the main meals were divided into general food, French food, and Quebecois food on the menu. My preference when traveling is to eat the local cuisine and this made it easy. My party of 2 ordered the house poutine with maple glazed pork belly as an appetizer. For our main meal, we ordered the Beef Bourguignon and the Tartiflette a l'Origine de Charlevoix. Both were fantastic! Aside from all of the great food and music, the service made our experience. I believe our waitress's name was Océane. She went above and beyond by sharing a hand-written list of recommendations for the next town we were visiting in Quebec. Highly recommend La Buchette if you are looking for a nice meal with a cozy atmosphere!

One of my favorite breakfast spots ever! So cozy and inviting. Service is friendly and thoughtful. Servers treat you like family. Try a maple latte! I think of these when I’m home in Florida! You won’t be disappointed with the 2 egg breakfast. The bacon is thick and delicious, the potato cakes crispy and fresh. Don’t forget a side of delicate crepe with fresh fruit and warm maple syrup. The ambience is so comforting and fun— not stuffy and dark. Love their playlist too! Dinner offers some creative dishes with a Quebecoise style. I love the tender halibut over the sweet potato puree and roasted vegetables with lemon and caper sauce— melt in your mouth! We have come here many times— with friend and family and will always return!

Excellent customer service from start to finish. Our waiter was extremely accommodating and patient, taking the time to answer all of my questions. The boeuf bourguignon was on another level—absolutely outstanding. I also had the poutine with maple pork belly and Dijon mustard, which was a total game changer and a must-try for anyone wanting an authentic poutine experience. The poutine in the Greater Toronto Area often feels overly processed and doesn’t compare to this at all. This place truly delivered in every way, and the prices are very reasonable. I can’t wait to come back again soon.

Really cannot sing enough praises for the food here. It came out quickly and was absolutely delicious, one of the best burgers I've ever had. I don't like burgers normally either so that means a lot! The drinks were great too, and the service was prompt and friendly.

We had a wonderful dinner here! Our server was so friendly and lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious. We got the beef bourguignon and the tartiflette a l'origine de Charlevoix and both were excellent, but the tartiflette was one of the best dishes ever! The cocktails were fun, and the maple cookie for dessert was perfect.
