My wife and I just ate there and it was absolutely delicious! She had the chicken parm and I had the burger, which nailed a Big Mac! Not only was the food great, the owner was really nice, welcoming, and very funny. I should point out that I have no gluten intolerance but I tend to eat gluten-free options as my wife is celiac. So, my point is that the food is simply delicious! 😊

Lots of gluten free pastas, snacks, and sauces. Great gluten free lunch items!
I saw the Ladyfinger dessert on Google and it looked so good that I rushed there before heading home. I arrived right near closing time and felt bad once I realized they had to be freshly prepared. However, the owner was welcoming and didn't make a fuss at all. We chatted while he prepared the food and had a great laugh. The desserts were delicious.
The guy is seriously weird, I was paying and curious to find out about the food they sell, meaning opportunity for him to make more business, but as I asked what is a sacoche sandwich, instead of explaining like a normal human being, he just started laughing at me like I am dumb for asking. I am curious to know what you are selling, and your reaction is to MOCK ME? what the hell is wrong with you dude? If anything, he is the DUMB one for not realizing I was inquiring about ingredients, which is what normal people do when they are deciding if buying some food they never tried before is worth it. Nope. He just downright made fun of me, did not even answer my questions properly, I never got to know what the hell is inside their sandwich. Way to go buddy. I was so suprised I wondered if he was high or just plain deranged. the kind of weirdo who thinks a customer is an opportunity to take out all of his life's frustrations. So you'd rather make fun of people than get them to liek your place and actually want to come back? Great business acumen and manners, keep at it and see if that shop will succeed! I had no idea it was a crime to ask questions! Mock all you want, you're the one losing business and tarnishing your reputation
Whether you are celiac or not, this place is more than excellent! Their purse sandwich is so good and with so many options to choose from. It's a nice feeling to be able to eat something so good without having to worry. We also had the chocolate chip cookies and they are also amazing. Impossible to distinguish them from the regular ones. 😋 To top it all, we had a nice chat with Gordie, such a nice person! We will come back for sure! From your italian customers 😉
A great discovery! Go eat a sacoche! They are delicious.
Gordy (the owner) is awesome! He answered all of my questions enthusiastically and gave amazing recommendations. The cookie and brio aranciata soda were delicious. Gordy was a chef for 30 years and clearly puts a lot of thought and effort into the food he makes, as well as his store, his hospitality. I can’t wait to go back and try the sandwiches. Everything is very affordable and also good quality which makes the store a true hidden gem.
Delicious sandwiches, and celiac safe!
Amazing sandwich 🥪 must try
Fantastic place with so many options! The cookies are fantastic
Excellent sandwiches that are gluten free. Owner is so nice and friendly. Our kids loved it. Heads up only a few chairs to sit, but super comfortable.
Amazing tasting food with great service. Will be coming back
What a treat! The hot purse sandwiches were fresh, cheesy and delicious, and the chocolate chip cookies were yummy! The food is gluten-free, yet you don’t feel that you are compromising on taste or texture. The owner is passionate about his products, and very pleasant to chat with. We will certainly be back.
stumbled upon this place by accident and had both a lovely gluten free sandwich and a lovely conversation with gordy. as a celiac, i could not be more trustful of this place. will be back next time i’m in montreal! :)
1000/10. If you are gluten free and in Montreal, this place is an absolute must and if you are not gluten free. It’s still a must. The food is incredible. Every bite tastes intentional and full of care. The cookies deserve their own review. Soft, rich, and genuinely some of the best gluten free cookies I have ever had (and I take cookies seriously) What really sets this place apart is the owner. He is so kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what he does. You can feel it the moment you walk in, and it shows in the quality of the food. The only downside is that he did not pack up his shop and move it onto our street where we live in a different province so we could eat here every day. We will absolutely be back next time we visit Montreal!
The sandwich I had was SO good, at very good prices as well! Also the people who own the business are wonderful, kind, and very hospitable!
Wow! What a great little place! Wonderful sandwiches with super nice owner. Tried the philly steak and the Mac and cheese. Highly recommend! Only regret is not finding it sooner!
I know I only took pictures of their ladyfinger desserts, but the real star was their purse sandwiches! I ate it too quickly to photograph. Gordie (what a lovely guy) made them fresh to order, and they were fantastic. If you're looking for a Celiac-friendly lunch restaurant with delicious and unique options, don't miss Bolo à Lolo!
My husband and I are visiting from Nova Scotia. We each got a sandwich - the Philly cheesesteak and the chicken parm - and they were delicious!! Great food for a great price; we'll absolutely be back before we leave! The grocery section is super nice too, lots of high-quality imported products.
Finally popped in here and it’s SO GOOD. Finalement, un spot sans gluten où tout n’est pas nécessairement végane! Lovely owner, genuinely scrumptious comfort food, and all celiac + nut-free. This would be a great spot for parents with children managing intolerances or people newly exploring gf food. Tried the lasagna sandwich and it was gone within a block. J’ai hate d’essayer les surgelés!
Second time in Montreal and decided to come by after seeing the great reviews - 100% worth it! I got the philly and mac & cheese sandwiches; both were delicious and made fresh (and for $6 each, very affordable!). Not sure when I'll be in Montreal again, but when I get the chance to, will be coming back for more!
Don’t come here because it’s gluten-free, come here because the food is delicious, because it’s an independent shop, fighting the good fight and still offering you an insanely good deal and - above all - because the staff are super friendly. I stopped in for two sandwiches and an espresso, all of which were frickin’ amazing and left a little over an hour later having had a wide-ranging, heart-warming conversation with Gordy, the owner. He’s doing what he does out of a passion for good food and his community. Come for the food, stay for the passion.
