Made a mistake on my order. Took it back scrapped off the mistake and re serves me a cold meal. I didn't accept and the they still charged me. Would only take of 20% of the single item. Very disappointed and not acceptable service. I would avoid this place

The experience felt off from the moment we arrived. We waited several minutes at the entrance without acknowledgment, and the staff member who seated us came across as visibly unhappy and unwelcoming. He initially agreed to a table, then tried to move us without explanation. The most concerning issue was with the water service. We were given water, drank from it, and then the glasses were removed. After a long delay, we were told the original water “wasn’t good.” This explanation is difficult to reconcile, particularly since the water was removed while I briefly stepped away and a minor was left alone at the table. The situation gave the impression of being rushed out rather than properly served. To avoid creating a scene—especially given the presence of a teenager and that this was meant to be a small celebration—I chose not to escalate at the time and still left a 15% tip even though the food was really overpriced. To his credit, the staff member later apologized for his attitude (means that his attitude did took place), which I do appreciate. However, by that point, the overall experience had already been negatively affected. It was not exactly our plan of celebration on our Saturday lunch. I only left 2 stars because my teenager loved the food. PS in fact when average place rate 4 stars among only 323 voters the management of this place should ask themselves lot of questions.

I was having a great time, overpriced for a burger but it was good but then we had to pay and that’s where the problem began. I didn’t have much on me and only gave a $1 tip for a bill of $24. The server got mad at me and demanded that I give her more. She was very unprofessional and blocked my way out of the restaurant which should be illegal until I paid the tip. In total I ended up giving $5. Never coming back despite the great food.

Night and day difference between a professional server and one that may need some help with serving the public which is a shame because the day before our party of 6 had everything we needed within a quick timeframe, I returned alone to specifically try one of the items on the menu, the restaurant didn't seem short staffed, there were 2 people plus the bartender serving the patrons and it wasn't terribly busy. I ordered a starter but before I was done asking for what I wanted the server was already walking away, I completed what I wanted from the menu then before I finished eating, I ordered a drink and waited, waited some more, after I finished eating, waited a bit more then felt it was just time to go. I've been to Montreal for at least 12 times this was one of the least attentive servers I've come across. Disappointed to say the least.

1st went for a lunch before a Montreal Canadiens game recently and really appreciated both the food and warm service at the bar. I ordered one of their hamburger specialties followed by a delicious chocolate cake for dessert. I must say I also really loved the ambience before the game. I rapidly met very special fans people sitting at the bar whom I had the occasion to rapidly socialize with in a super friendly atmosphere. I returned after the hockey game and had a few drinks and had good friendly chat with people I had met previously and some bar employees. I must say it was a very special pleasant experience. I met very cool people and highly recommend this place. You won't regret it. I hope to repeat the experience soon that's for sure.

I had such a great experience here! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and everything came out quickly and perfectly prepared. But what really made the night stand out was our waitress, Sage. Sage was genuinely amazing—so friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to. She made us feel really taken care of without ever being overbearing, and her recommendations were spot on. You can tell she truly cares about giving guests a great experience. It’s rare to come across service that good these days, and she honestly made our visit so much more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I hope we get Sage again!

Hands down the best burger I’ve had in Montreal. I ordered the mushroom burger with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and the red wine mushroom sauce. Absolutely spectacular.

I've been there before and it was always good, considering it is a newer location. However, went there on a sunday as there was an event in the Bell Center. The service was horrid (forgot to give us water, the sauces we asked for, they didn't even let us sit and already asked which drinks we wanted seriously what the hell), the food was cold, the fries were cold and soggy. We were 4, I ordered the bavette steak, it was genuinely disgusting. It was cold, too salty, not cooked medium rare, and honestly didn't even taste like meat. My friend's burgers were cold. One of them ordered the avocado one and they gave her a full chunk of avocado instead of slicing it like they normally do with that burger. Another friend ordered an extra tomato slice (+1$) which they forgot to give... I cannot believe how bad everything was considering how much I loved going there. Also, the place was empty so they cannot give the excuse of '' oh we are so sorry but we were packed and it can be hard bla bla''. The sunday team has a lot to learn I'm sorry to say. Genuinely bad experience from people who love that spot.

We went for Smashburger Wednesday’s. Our Waitress Sage was FANTASTIC. However only having 1 waitress for the entire lunch rush is ridiculous, especially when most of the clientele at that time are business people who need to eat and get back to work in reasonable time.

The food was amazing , quick and efficient before the game. Sage was my waitress she is amazing and helpful!!! I noticed the dj booth above, but no DJ. Would be awesome to have live music like before when the old owner was there, and create an amazing vibe before and after the game!!! We love the belle and la bœuf!

Very good cocktails at a reasonable price, with a great vibe overall. It’s a nice spot for gathering with friends and enjoying the atmosphere. Not really a place for dancing, but perfect for a relaxed night out.
