I felt a little shy about going here in the past—it’s a bit of an institution, you had to reserve in advance…but the new location on Wellington shows off the comfy (not stuffy) interior, and it was easy to reserve, so I got over myself and…had a wonderful experience. Went there for date night and it somehow managed to be a date-level place with a decent amount of atmosphere for a reasonable price. Wednesday is all-you-can-eat mussels with salad and dessert; two coffees and a bottle of sparkling water still put us a little under $100 before tax. Which isn’t nothing, Lord knows, but for phenomenal service and absolutely delicious, fresh-cooked mussels in fresh-made sauce? Yes please! It was so good I forgot to take pictures of the food! Pesto and Rosato sauces were lovely. Highly recommend you give it a try. Pick up a bottle of wine nearby if you feel like it.
