L'Avenue is by far one of the best brunch spots in Montreal. They do a fantastic job at plating the food, and every dish that passes you by on the way to another diner makes you wish you ordered that instead. The food is delicious! I had the Californian omelet, Wow! Cheddar cheese, swiss cheese, mushrooms, red onions, avocado, salsa and jalapeno cream, all on top of a giant fluffy egg pancake. Service is exceptional with a nice friendly staff. My only complaint is they still ask customers to use the pandemic era QR codes stuck to the tables, which is simply annoying 5 years post covid.... Especially since they have the most unique and interesting physical menus I've seen in a long time (you need to insist and they'll give you one).

This was my first time at this location and I don’t regret going to this place, it’s Mother’s Day so I took my wife and we just arrived on time because few minutes later the restaurant was packed. Service was excellent and amazing, a professional and very knowledgeable and helpful. Food was delicious and generous portions. Atmospheric was fantastic, if I could given 10 stars, I would have. Definitely coming back because it’s only 12 minutes drive from our home and business . I highly recommend this establishment. Thank you because you guys made day a memorable.

Had a great time, perfect brunch to bring teenagers. Took us 30+ minutes outside to get a table for 5 on a Saturday, be bear smart, arrive early and enjoy.

😍 You can’t believe how good this place is. Everyone was really satisfied with their brunch, and it was such a great spot to hang out and enjoy the meal. There were so many options to choose from, and everything we tried was great. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

We loved this place, we ordered the Dallas and Istanbul special items fo brunch and enjoyed! Just beware that the portions can be huge. We def could go with 1 item for two as we both had leftovers. Also this place is huge, don't get overwhelmed by the lineup, it goes perfect fast.

For the positives, the egg and steak meal was very good and the waiter was nice. However, unless you have time to waste, do not go here. It took us about 1 hour to get our meal and my wife's shakshuka came warm at best. It took them another 15 min just to reheat the dish. So after ordering, 1h15 to get eatable food and the shakshuka was just ok. Just asking for the bill took another 15 min. While the waiter was apogelotic, unless you like to wait in line to get seated, then wait 1h15 for your food then wait again for the bill that never comes, go elsewhere.

I’ve been going to L’Avenue for over 15 years—first at the Mont-Royal location and later at the Notre-Dame one. Over all these years, the food has always been excellent: consistently well prepared, generous plates, and usually very friendly staff. It’s one of the reasons my family and I have kept coming back regularly since the Notre-Dame location opened. However, I’ve had a disappointing experience with the same server two or three times now at the Notre-Dame location. For lack of a better way to describe it, she seems to saunter from table to table, rarely smiles, and does not come across as particularly friendly. During our last visit, she was actually rude to me. I always order a single pancake with strawberries and chocolate for our 6-year-old. This time, she brought the full version (three or four pancakes). When she came back to the table later, I mentioned that we had meant to order the one-pancake version. Her response was: “Ben il fallait me le dire,” which is not the level of customer service I’ve come to expect from your restaurant. It’s unfortunate, because we’ve been loyal customers for many years and genuinely enjoy the food and atmosphere. But experiences like this do make me think twice about returning. I would be happy to discuss this further with management if that would be helpful.

Very good experience, I had a friend reunion brunch, and it was the perfect place for that. Their got sauce is pretty good and matches super well with the egg and the hollandaise sauce. The matcha soy latte was good has well, I willl definitely go back!

Thought it was going to be better with all the rave reviews. Not sure why this place is so popular. The pancakes taste gummy. The potatoes taste like they were overcooked in the microwave. My dish was served cold.

We had a late breakfast around 10:00/10:30 so no wait. I ordered the “Bob goes to Istanbul”, hubby got “Bob goes to Japan”; both were amazing. Great food, great service! If I lived anywhere near there I would be there quite often😆

Visited for a long weekend and the best food we had in Montreal was the breakfast here. We wish we would have visited the first day and kept going back. Skip the bagels, come here and you won’t regret it.
