My go to place for Japanese food! Pork curry tonkatsu is very good. I always bring friends here if they are craving Japanese. Service can be slow when they're busy (which they usually are so be prepared to wait). They're willing to customised your drinks too.

The food is fine overall, but nothing particularly memorable. They offer a wide variety of dishes which is nice!! but most items feel fairly average rather than outstanding… The bill came to about $100, but I feel I could get better quality food elsewhere for the same price.

Probably the worse izakaya I’ve ever been too. Bland broth on udon with not enough dashi. Sinewy fish in the sashimi (tuna). Takowasa is super small servings and not good as what you would good at a bar (this is super hard to mess up and it was expensive and super little). Even the edamame - it was blanched too long, too warm and soggy. And no Japanese tea?also chicken skewers were not grilled - it was blanched and sauce was just sweet. unagi don was also not grilled, sauce was mediocre and there were more bones than usual. Huge warning sign. Stay away. It was 150 dollars and was bad.

Me and my friends came to eat here on Saturday, we had a reservation and good thing, it got quite busy around 6:00. The food and drinks were great very tasty. Service was excellent the manager Eddie and the waitress were very nice. The decoration was absolutely amazing and adorable. Will definitely go again when in Montréal next time.

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We waited 40 minutes for cold rice in my chicken tonkatsu. The ramen was overly salty, and the karaage was a complete disaster. The service was truly awful. Never ever gonna be there again.

Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend We were a group of five. We ordered one mackerel, one vegetable tempura, two curry tonkatsu, one chicken katsu, and one tantan noodles. The mackerel was extremely salty and lacked any other flavor. We asked to switch it to chicken karaage, but that wasn't tasty either. The tantan noodles were unpleasantly salty as well – we had to add a glass of water to make it eatable. One of our friends waited over 30 minutes for his chicken katsu. By the time it arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. To make matters worse, his rice was cold – as if it had just come out of the fridge. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she simply said it was the last portion of rice, with no apology. Other dishes are ok, but totally not worth going there.

Updated 3 years later: Decided to give this place another chance after three years, but it was a complete disaster. I can honestly say I have never tasted such awful chicken skewers in my entire life. For an izakaya to mess up chicken skewers this badly is truly mind-blowing. Their tempura is supposed to be their signature dish, but they totally messed that up as well. On top of that, many of the dishes were served lukewarm, not even hot. Save your money. Very average place. I looked up the reviews first and had high expectations, but I ended up with disappointment. The udon was really average for an unreasonably high price. The eel had really weird flavor. The tempura was just okay. The korroke was probably the best. Nothing has a Japanese flavor or style.

We visited Kyodai Izakaya with a group of 5 people and had a great experience. We ordered 3 Spicy Tantan Chicken Ramen and 2 Kitsune Udon. For appetizers, we had the 6-piece Ebi Shrimp and Karaage, which were really tasty. For dessert, we ordered the Mango Cheesecake, and it was a perfect way to finish the meal. Asia helped us with our order and provided excellent service throughout our visit. She was very calm, patient, and explained even the small details clearly, which made ordering much easier for us. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service were all very good. Definitely worth visiting with friends or family.

Went there with my wife, were served by Eddie and Jason and honestly i was the best service we ever had, we felt welcomed and we felt like they actually cared about our experience! The food was just... insane. I can't exactly express how great the food was but that word. Fresh and delicious food, ordered the Udon bowl and the broth was clear but super flavorful, it was refreshing to have such a clear broth, udon noodle were also very good compared to some other places i've been to. We ordered a bottle of sake and were oriented toward whatever we felt like having that time, and they did something special which i'll not spoil for you guys to experience it yourself! Not gonna lie this is the best restaurant we've been in a long time and we did a lot! Thanks for letting us have this experience! We will return and bring our friend and get them to try this place that's for sure!

The food was really great but the service was very mid I would not put a review but they have a rule that Groupe need to tips 18% I can understand but the service was max 10% just I know how declaration work and I would never put 0% but that service was 10% not 18% I would recommend for Groupe like 2-4 person but not big group

We were served by Jason and Eddie Ambiance : perfect Service : perfect Food : perfect I would recommend a thousand times. This became my favorite restaurant in town !! We fell in love with everything and took many pictures! Im already excited to come back !

Fortunate discovery! We were heading some other place, but they were booked. This restaurant had more tables and was not too crowded. The service was fast and friendly! The food was great for a great price!

Went when we were looking for a quick meal before seeing a comedian. The staff understood that we were in a rush and were very nice enough to put our order as priority. The vibes are immaculate, music is good not too loud, and the food was delicious. Will definitely go back when I have more time to try the rest of the food/drinks.

We come from Vancouver come to trip, first night want to eating warm dinner, but so bad experience, I ordered Chicken Katsu tonight, but it tasted terrible; the rice was cold and a bit hard. It was an awful experience.

I usually always leave my tip in cash, so I was really surprised to see that a tip had been automatically added on the payment terminal without my consent. I only noticed it after the transaction was completed. I didn’t appreciate that the server took the initiative to add a tip on their own. A gratuity should always be optional and left to the customer’s discretion. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this felt misleading and not acceptable. I recommend making sure customers can clearly choose the tip and confirm before processing payment.

Amazing food, quick service and great vibes. It feels like going through a portal to Tokyo, Japan. (I’ve been to it so believe me when I say that). Also the server named Eddy was just exceptionally thoughtful and helped us find a table with only 30 min before the start of a movie and helped us get served very quickly. Although the place was full, he remembered our time limit and also came to ask if everything was okay throughout the experience. 100% would recommend and go again soon.
