Pretentious diner. I have no qualms regarding service but the menu needs Gordon Ramsey desperately. My companion ordered the Lobsta Pasta (48$) which amounted to about 4 ounces of pasta in sauce with a Mexican crayfish tail on top served in the bottom of a large soup bowl. I started with the Soju Jerk Ribs with kimchi. Flavourful item but turned out to be the highlight of my meal. As an entree I ordered (by the servers recommendation) Criote du Chef Lafaille, which came to me looking spectacular. Looks in this case were deceiving. The item consists of chunks of pork loin barbecued in some manner of rub, a stack of dry rice and beans, three disc’s of hardened plantain and a tart and spiced variation of Cole slaw. The biggest problem with the dish I believe is the choice of the cut of pork. The pork loin is too lean to stand up to such cooking methods without drying out. One of the employees heard me mention that I found the dish dry to which she said that I hadn’t been given the sauce it came with. She returned with a small pitcher of sauce but it didn’t help. I think if the dish was made from a fattier cut of pork such as shoulder or even pork belly it would have been better. There is a saying I heard in French that I think sums this plate up. “sans matières grasses sans goût”

Excellent restaurant, menu is great, cocktails are tasty and service was impeccable.
I loved the elegance of the space, with its midnight blue walls, dark wood furniture and gold accents, blended with touches of Carribean art and accessories. It all works so well together to create a warm and welcoming ambiance. The food was flavorful and plentiful! We went with the table d’hôte, but in hindsight, had we known the plates were so big, we might have shared some plates, or opted for their tasting menu. We saw it go by and it looked delicious. We had the cod fritters and the jerk ribs to start. The fritters come with a really tasty and nicely spiced pikliz. For mains, we had the fried chicken and the griot. Everything was tasty, and the service was friendly and attentive. I felt a bit disappointed with the cocktail. The glass was half-filled - about five sips total - and tasted mostly of juice. Then again, I’m not much of a cocktail girl, so this is just one opinon ;-) All in all, a good spot. If you’re looking for beautiful ambiance, and lots of tasty food, I’d definitely recommend Kwizinn. We’ll be back!
Had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, and you can tell the ingredients are high quality. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made the whole evening very enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting perfect for dinner with friends or a special occasion. Definitely a place I would come back to and recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and a pleasant dining experience.

Great cuisine, so much we couldn't finish.
Great food but awful service. Had to pack my own takeout order, then was harassed by the waiter for not leaving a tip. Will not be back.
Amazing service and great portion sizes. So yum!
I was only in Montreal one night for a conference. When you come to Montreal you have to eat here, the food is absolutely outstanding, there is a great vibe and the service is beyond expectations. Our server Mahgi is superb!!!! He made recommendations, asked for allergies and checked in. He makes the most delicious cucumber tequila shot. All the meat is seasoned exceptionally and falls off the bone! You need to go and experience Kwizinn.
This was my first visit to Montréal and I’m so glad I made it to Kwizinn. I went on Ash Wednesday, so I didn’t try the chef-recommended griot and short ribs (I’ll be back on my next visit!) but the cod fish fritters and lobsta pasta were incredible! The fritters were well seasoned and spiced (also a great portion size) and the pasta sauce was perfectly rich without being too heavy. And, as a special birthday treat, I was gifted the delicious crème brûlée! The atmosphere was great with a fun playlist of R&B and Soca hits and a friendly and attentive team — a perfect spot to spend a winter night when you need a little Caribbean warmth!
Went for a birthday dinner with my friends. The staff was awesome! So friendly and helpful. The jerk ribs and oysters were out of this world. Super charming place with lots of character and ambiance. We’re not from the area but if we ever come back we will stop here no question !!!
Fantastic food and service!!!!! Highly recommend
Celebrated my 30th birthday here with 25 people and it was fantastic. The staff handled our large group seamlessly! The service was on point and everything ran smoothly all night. The food was amazing across the board. Everything was delicious! They made the whole experience feel special without any stress. Highly recommend for celebrations or any occasion.
Way over-priced for the quality of the food. Would not recommend it.
