Stopped by for brunch on Sunday morning with my dog and the staff brought out a water bowl without us even asking, which instantly won me over. We split an order of the miso butter toast and it was so good I almost didn't want to share any with my pup, who was very patiently waiting under the table. The patio seating was relaxed and shaded enough that neither of us got too warm while we lingered over coffee. Honestly one of the few spots in Montreal where I felt like both my dog and I were genuinely welcome, not just tolerated.

Dre was an Amazing server, he was funny and insanely knowledgeable about sports for someone his age and all this goes without mentioning the vast selection and amazing quality of food at Koyo, the buffet had a lot of selection and was filled pretty quickly when its was running low

I loved the concept! Both a buffet AND sushi a la minute. The salmon was surprisingly good. The buffet was sometimes empty, but it was refilled 5 minutes later!! Worth the wait. Would 100% come back

Today, we decided to treat ourselves to some sushi because we were really craving it! 🍣❤️ We thought we’d give their sushi a try, and honestly, it wasn’t bad at all! The sushi was enjoyable and definitely helped satisfy our cravings. However, if you ask me, I still prefer their buffet! 😋 There’s just something about a buffet that makes the experience more exciting. I love having so many different dishes to choose from, being able to try a little bit of everything, and discovering different flavors all in one place. It’s always nice to have plenty of options to satisfy your cravings! Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience. The sushi was decent, but their buffet remains my favorite! Definitely a good place to consider when you’re craving a variety of food. Would I come back? Absolutely, especially for the buffet! 🥢🍱

My experience with them is not really satisfactory as the food I find was not fresh and the taste of the sushi was bit weird. Price wise choices were limited too.

Plates in the self-serve area were really dirty, and the trays were often empty. The restaurant was fairly empty and even then, the service was slow. There was hair in my ice cream. Would not recommend coming by.

Grabbed a window seat around sunset a few days ago and the light hitting the room made it almost impossible not to pull my camera out between courses. The black cod was the standout dish, perfectly glazed, and plated simply enough that it photographed as well as it tasted. Service was attentive without hovering, and the bartender even pointed out the best angle to shoot the sake display near the entrance. Small space so it fills up fast, but that just added to the lively, warm atmosphere.

Went to Koyo last Friday evening with a couple friends and the omakase board honestly blew us away. The miso black cod was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and the sashimi was clearly cut to order. Our server walked us through every piece without being pretentious about it, which made the whole meal feel relaxed rather than stuffy. We got there around 7 and the place had a nice buzz without being loud, so we ended up staying almost three hours just talking and ordering more sake.

Great experience loved it!!! Food was fast and fesh staff was super nice too. Enjoyed having the buffet too as well as the ipad. Bathrooms were clean and price was fair. Food is what youd expect from all you can eat.

Been waiting on the former Kanda restaurant to open up again for so long! Koyo did not disappoint: enhanced menu options, refurbished interior and much much nicer service. All the waiters are so polite and friendly. Food gets out super quickly. Appreciated that they added a whole buffet station with a variety of self-serve items. Many yummy options there and probably lets the waiters be more efficient. Will be back again, very happy my old restaurant got a new look and menu !

Everything was smooth from start to finish, and the service was great. For an all-you-can-eat experience, the food was genuinely enjoyable and offered great value. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re looking for a fun, satisfying meal!

A very underwhelming food experience. Buffet woks were 80% empty. I think they sent someone to Walmart to buy frozen fries. Twice we ordered on tablet and food never came. Ordered tempura zucchini and got 1 slice, 1 slice. I hope the kitchen is told and they make changes.

Wow, never had an experience like this today. Choices of got food was scarce and ALWAYS 80% empty woks. There was no food!!!!! Reviews online and what we saw today was far from accurate. I never write reviews but I had to today. Save your 30$. When you order the fried scallops and fried zucchini get 1 of each for a 4 person table?? One of many disappointments today. My honest opinion here.

Apologies, it can get overwhelmingly busy. But that’s not an excuse as some would say. Yes, when you order 1 of each item on the tablet, you will receive 1 of each item. Luckily it’s an all you can eat restaurant and you can order multiple times ! :) Sometimes our buffets are close to empty but we refill them as soon as we can! I recall when you left you took a look at the buffet and saw that it was full. We always try to rectify situations but nothing was said from your table until the very end. Anyway, thank you for stopping by :)

Beware. Definitely not as advertised. Little to no food on the buffet. They never picked up empty plates. Sushi was not freshly prepared. Dragon Eye was actually ice cold when it should have been hot coming out of the fryer. If you feel like paying $30 per person to eat fries and rice, go ahead. Ordered on the Ipad several times and never got the food. Finally just gave up and left. Never going there again.

As a longtime Yelp Elite, I’m always on the hunt for really good spots, and Koyo Sushi absolutely killed it. 🍣👏 No complaints here! We came for a family lunch on a Monday and pretty much showed up right when they opened at 11:30 because we were DYING for all-you-can-eat sushi. 😂 Great way to start the week if you ask me. Service was quick, all the staff were super polite and everything was fresh. You order from an iPad at the table, so once you’re seated you can basically start swiping away and ordering whatever catches your eye. A few favourites: • Peanut butter dumplings — delicious and THICK. So good. • Fried shrimp 🍤 • Wonton soup — definitely one of my favourites. • California rolls • One of the hot/fried sushi rolls (I think it may have been the Dragon Eye?) — smaller pieces, a little crispy/fried with sauce on top. Whatever it was, SO GOOD. Also, can we talk about the spicy mayo?! They give you a HUGE portion. 😂 I love that because you aren’t constantly having to ask for another tiny little container every five minutes. They also have a self-serve area where you can grab things like noodles and other items yourself, which I really liked. I saw the sautéed vegetables and normally I would be all over those, but by that point I was way too full. And like every good sushi restaurant, they kept the water coming nonstop. LOVE THEM FOR THAT. 💧😂 Just a heads-up that desserts and soft drinks are extra. A can of pop was $2.99. I didn’t catch the dessert prices. We honestly had such a good family lunch here. We were laughing, eating way too much and just having a really good time. We were already talking about coming back before we even left, which probably says everything you need to know. 😂 Location is super convenient too right off Décarie in the same little shopping area as Dunn’s and Amir, across from Ardene and the outlet shopping. sushi can sometimes be hit or miss, but this one was definitely a HIT. Fresh food, quick service, friendly staff and plenty of options. We’ll absolutely be back. 🍣🥢
