Please keep in mind that ownership for this AYCE changes faster than you can blink so any old reviews are probably from previous owners. We have been here for several of the owners and have never been so disappointed. First off, 2 servers for the entire floor on a Saturday is ridiculous. We got there for 17h and got our first order around 17h30 (we didnt rush to order as we are used to taiyo lol). First order of salmon sashimi was cut to 12 pieces when we ordered 50 for 6 of us. Not only did the kitchen choose to cut our order to 25% of what we ordered, the salmon was FROZEN. CRUNCHY, SOLID IN THE CENTER FROZEN. I am well aware that the fish arrives frozen but it should be fully thawed once served lol. We tried ordering sashimi several times and the fish would come at different degrees of frozen to ice cold. We ordered sashimi 6 times and got 3 of the orders. They kept saying to reorder. Our final order went in at 18h32 as our spot was only reserved until 19h. At 19h, the waitress came, we explained we had been waiting for 30 mins. She blamed us for not telling her even though the service was insanely slow all night and 30 mins seemed to be the norm with the new ownership. She said she didnt have an order for us and we should order again. She explained she had people waiting for our table but I remained firm that we wanted our last order since we barely got what we ordered all night. She asked us to pay while we waited and we all paid, not a problem. Little did I realize it was just a plot to get us out without providing our order. 19h15, she lets us know that the salmon is frozen and we wont get our order lol. Meanwhile, the resto is full. She says if we go back, she will give us a discount next time lol. Never again. Other issues: beef and veggie dishes have zero flavor and are just covered in water and corn starch. Looked like semen covering all our meat, not going to lie. Choices are minimal for weekend pricing. Staff is rude and not friendly. Biggest food complaint: They use FREAKING RICE KRISPIES instead of tempura. Its all over the place, even if you specify that you dont want any. Asked several times to have no rice krispies however this was disregarded. Cheap, nasty fillers. Pay the extra and go to Taiyo, trust me. If you actually enjoy sushi and know basic quality, avoid this place at all costs.

The service was absolutely what I have come to expect from Katsu, however the seating arrangement left much to be desired. I am not one to leave nasty reviews normally, but I was squeezing through tables, and had to fall into my seat trying to avoid hitting someone else's table. As much as it is difficult to arrange many 2 person tables on Valentine's day, I sincerely had higher hopes than this. The food was absolutely not what I've come to expect, and I sincerely hope this was some sort of a fluke. The fish tasted frozen, the miso soup was nearly tasteless, and the best thing on the table was the edamame. I am so saddened to see such poor quality here.

I've previously always enjoyed how fresh and delicious the food is, but I had a very disappointing experience here on Valentine's Day when I brought my partner - it seemed like everything was frozen/premade, including getting frozen salmon, cold grilled eel, and the garlic beef which was just browned and has no sear whatsoever. I'm very saddened that what was my favourite sushi place appears to have either cut corners for an important holiday, or simply gone downhill altogether.

Food was very average and the service was not great. We went on a Saturday at lunch and the selection was very limited compared to other acye sushi places. The tables were also sticky.
