Been here twice and the food and service are both great. Had the salmon donburi and yakisoba once and an assortment of sushi the other time. The food didn't disappoint in either case and the service is lovely.

Single-handedly the best rice combination food I’ve ever eaten. The meat was very juicy and the pairing with the sauce was amazing! The staff was also incredibly friendly and nice.

Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in Montreal, even in Canada. The first step you take into Karin, you can see it’s family owned. Small, cute tables, cute booths. The mom is taking the orders while the son and father are in the back cooking and prepping. The food is amazing, honestly the best Japanese food I’ve had in Montreal. The sushi is crazy good. The highlight for me was the sashimi. The quality of the fish is top notch. They serve different cuts of tuna and salmon at different levels of fattiness, and they literally melt in your mouth. The tempura is amazing, and so is the bulgogi beef. I recommend the set menu to share if it’s your first time, since you’ll get to taste a bit of everything, have quality food, and leave with a full stomach. If you like cheesecake, the matcha cheesecake is amazing. It’s their grandma’s recipe. Everything here is made with love and you can taste it. 10/10, you should try this place and you’ll want to come back.

Really good restaurant if you want a delicious high quality japanese meal. The food and especially the sushis are of very high quality, you can even choose the specific part of the fish (e.g higher vs lower fat pieces for tuna). I discovered several fishes that I had never eaten in sushi. I highly recommend the sushi assortment (Combo sushi hakata or Kyoto) if you want to discover new flavors. If you're not a fan of sushi, they also serve delicious udon or soba noodles, and fried rice dishes like beef donburi. For desert everything is delicious, but my favorite is the matcha japanese cheesecake ! The restaurant itself is also very cosy, you can have your own little cubicule, and you can also reserve for larger groups if your going with family or friends.

The atmosphere is so cozy and vibey!!! The people are very welcoming, smiley and nice! However, the prices are a bit high but for the quality of the food it's so worth it, delicious 😋
