Getting bad service is one thing but if my friend leaves a bad review in consequence, to then be harassed at our table by the “manager” to delete the review is just disgusting. Luckily we had Snapchat open and got to record this. If they spent the same energy to give good service like they did to check their reviews and quickly rush to our table maybe your restaurant wouldn’t be empty lunchtime on a weekend. Chicken was tasteless. Fries were not properly fried. 5 people working and not a single clean table, we had to get napkins and clean ourselves for our group to enjoy a simple lunch. If it wasn’t for Bossa being full I’d never have wasted my money here
What guests say about Kahwa Café - De La Well
The sandwiches are highly appreciated, especially for the fresh homemade bread, the quality of the ingredients, and the variety, with several customers saying they want to come back. The service is often described as warm and welcoming, but there are also recurring comments about the sometimes long wait and uneven service. Some find the prices reasonable, while others feel it is a bit expensive or that some portions could be more generous.

Bland food, cheap staff and dirty tables
Cheap owners and cheaper staff, need to pay for ketchup because the fries only come with enough to eat 5-10 pieces of fries
Wants to charge me 1$ for a single packet of ketchup are you normal? We are two people eating two combos and you want us to share the same 1oz cup of sauce are you ok in the head?
Great service and tasty food!
Staff was sweet! Small interior but the sandwich was insane. I got the poulet panko sandwich. Great portion size but a bit on the expensive side. Came up to around $15 for just the sandwich however, worth it especially because everything is made fresh. Will definitely go back!
Wanted to check it out this , wanted to know why is this place so special. First of all, cute cafe! I love it that the kitchen is visible. You get to see how fresh the bread is made. My boyfriend and I shared a panko chicken and beef/lamb kebab sandwiches. The chicken sandwich was out of the world. Awesome and warm bread. Chicken well cooked and seasoned and the salad, plus the sauce combined, it was a blast of delicious explosions of taste. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing for the kebab sandwich. The salad and sauce inside was good, but for the meat, I expected a true kebab, but it was shredded meat. It was supposed to beef and lamb but it tasted more beef. The meat was dry, pasty, and unflavored. Anyway, I will definitely come back and have the chicken again.
amaaaaazing sandwiches
I am obsessed with this place. I keep going back. Best sandwiches in the city, and the owners are so nice! I can’t wait for a West Island location!
I went there with friends and were waiting for our order the guys there was just chilling and even forget about our order until my friend got pissed and went ask them again , the guy wouldn't even care lass even the shop was almost empty around 9 pm and it was just our order yet the guy there was very lazy to get us our food , I love the sandwich but service was awful
Too long for a simple sandwich
Best sandwiches in Montreal!
This was my second time visiting this falafel restaurant, and once again, I was very happy with my experience! The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, and clean, and the portions are generous. Everything tasted great and was well prepared. The place itself is lovely, comfortable, and has a nice atmosphere. The staff are also very welcoming, friendly, and kind, which makes the experience even better. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves good falafel and fresh, tasty food. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should definitely give it a try—you won’t be disappointed! I’ll definitely be coming back again. ❤️ Yasmeen
Fresh tasty sandwiches, love the variety of soft drinks. Clean all around. I will definitely be going back. Reasonable prices
Amazing sandwiches and coffee. Their Kebab Libre is a winner, not stingy on the meat, the bread is fresh and tasty, the right amount of sauce and spice. Great service, rapidly served. Will be back.
I’m probably here like once a week cause their sandos are so good but I gotta give them props for something incredibly simple that not everyone does when working with food: I saw the employees finish their break and then WASH their hands before touching the food. Also they are incredibly nice. I feel sorry that their kitchen is 10,000° in the summer - not sure how they survive!
What not to LOVE about this place ! Tunisian street food at its best ! And the bread is literally prepared in front of you !
My 3rd time coming to Montreal and this is hands down the best place for sandwiches, I'd even say it's WAAAAAY more fresher than subway. Everyone back at home in Sudbury Ontario NEEDS to come to Montreal and try the best sandwich to ever exist in all of Canada.
Great sandwiches will come back for sure !!!! Very good price also
Had le poulet panko, was one of the better sandwiches I've had. The portion was decent for the price. Had with the fries, fries were good. The wait time wasn't long either. The ambience is nice, ample amount of seating.
Amazing to finally have Kahwa in the neighborhood - superb sandwiches and cozy atmosphere. Thanks Arslene for great service!
Took a chance as I was walking by a few weeks ago… What a 💎… The sandwich are outstanding but also.. the service… Wow.. the kindness, the smiles, the cooks laughing, dancing, it is such a great Vibe. Thank you for all the times I got my sandwich and you made my day a lil bite better.. It’s not just about the sandwich, it’s also your team 🏆Merci
i’ve had such a lovely experience, not only was the food succulent but they had the customer service to back it up. at first i was kind of surprised that my order hadn’t been started yet even though i was the only one there and i saw no one work but then a kind gentleman explained that the reason they hadn’t started on it yet is that they were waiting for the bread which then made sense. im highly appreciative of that polite employee letting me know about the delay and the reason behind it, will 100% be coming back
The food is amazing but lately every time I’ve come they are incredibly slow and not providing any warning before or when ordering. I’m currently here and have been waiting over 30 minutes for 1 sandwich for takeout. There were maybe 2 or 3 orders ahead of mine. I’m watching the guys behind the counter talking and not having any sense or urgency whatsoever. No one has acknowledged how long it’s taking and honestly I kinda think this is unacceptable.
I am not a sandwich person… and yet I keep coming back here for the fried chicken sandwich. That’s how good it is. The chicken is fantastic, the bread is baked fresh in-house, and the whole sandwich is just ridiculously good. It’s one of those meals that you start craving out of nowhere. Now for my one (very passionate) complaint: the sauce policy. If I want sauce on the side, I have no problem paying the extra dollar. That’s not the issue. The issue is that they refuse to give you a different sauce than the one that’s supposed to come with your sandwich—even if you’re paying for it. So you’re telling me I can buy extra sauce… but only if it’s the “approved” sauce for my sandwich? Make it make sense. It’s such an oddly restrictive policy for something so simple. Let people pay for the sauce they want! It seems like such an easy way to make customers happier. That said, the sandwich is so unbelievably good that I continue to come back anyway, despite rolling my eyes at the sauce situation every single time. Please free the sauces. Your sandwiches deserve it.
