what is the scientific reasoning for their sandwiches being so. damn. good?

Really good sandwiches
Great healthy sandwiches with fresh baked bread on spot!
Had an amazing sandwich there (le Kébab Libre), and also tried a bite from another (le Poulet Panko). Both were excellent!
i was a little disappointed with my visit. the bread is excellent and homemade, which was quite good, but the overall experience just wasnt up to the restaurants reputation. also, there was a water feature running when I was there and it splashed all over the counter. it is a shame because the place looks nice, but having water spraying everywhere is js not very hygienic imo
The chicken sandwich is delicious !
the part of the famous chicken sandwich with a bit of that delicious sauce was good . but most of sandwich no sauce so not good of dry meat if no sauce . overrated for the wait time
Chicken sandwich is amazing
As a Montrealer, I dub Kahwa Cafe the Mediterranean Schwartz of Montreal. With its hole in the wall location, long lineups & simple menu, it serves hundreds of sandwiches daily to lots of happy customers. It's a unique experience with the bread baked onsite. I had the Kebab Libre with lamb & beef-the portion sizes are very generous & the quality of the meat is excellent. The staff are super friendly & accommodating, as well.
Amazing food and the line moves fast and service is really friendly 👌🏼 🙌
Very good food, though missing a little bit of chicken in the sandwich.
I work on the same street and used to come here often for my break. In fact, many of my colleagues also used to buy sandwiches from here regularly. Today I only came in for sauce, and I was charged $1 for each sauce, which is okay. But when I asked for the street discount, the staff acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and were making rude faces. The owner and even the previous employees were always very kind and welcoming. Sadly, the people handling the place now are very rude, and the customer service has really changed.
This place was perfect for a quick bite to eat! We sat inside and I had Le Poulet Panko. The worker recommended it to me and it was quite yummy! There were lots of people coming in and out of the place which speaks to its popularity. There was a line but we didn't have to wait too long. The bathroom has a weird layout as you can see people in the restaurant while using the toilet but other than that, great food!
Best place in town for a Tunisian sandwich! Barsha awesome!!
I think its rediciouls that so many people put fake reviews based on politics and discrimination, but this is not fake. I went to get a sandwich and it's not like there was a small innocent palestinian flag. The entire store is full with flags of Palestine and messages like Nakba. That's an ambiance issue. They might as well said no jews allowed.
So great service great atmosphere but the FOOD. Honestly, the meats are soooooooo dull. The meats taste like absolutely nothing we tried the tuna, chicken cutlet and lamb. And it was terrible. Definitely overhyped.
the customer service is very poor. and the staff are extremely rude and dismissive.
Best chicken sandwich ever!
I like the vibe friendly staff but average sandwich.
Amazing food, and very friendly staff!
I got the chicken panko sandwich. It was amazing! The staff is very friendly.
Kahwa was amazing! I had the L’Italiane, and my friend ordered the Poulet Panko. I’d 100% recommend the Poulet Panko it was incredible. Honestly, everything was so good. The bread was super fresh, clearly made in house, and it really stood out. It’s not a huge place, so it’s not ideal for big groups, but you can easily place your order and wait outside for takeout or grab a seat if there’s space. Definitely worth it for the quality fresh bread and really flavorful chicken.
I’m really a sandwich person 😀 and I’ve tried many sandwiches in Montreal, but I can say Kahwa Cafe is definitely one of my top five. The flavor was excellent and the combination of ingredients worked really well together. I especially liked the cucumber in the sandwich, it added a fresh touch that made it stand out. The bread, chicken, and lamb were all delicious, and the ingredients tasted fresh. What I liked was that everything felt well prepared and balanced. We had a very good experience here and really enjoyed the food. I’m sure I’ll come back again and try more from the menu. Definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy good sandwich
This place NEVER disapoints. Tried almost every sandwich. Only one that was a miss was the falafel for me.
Always great
