K2 Bistro offers an all-you-can-eat dinner like no other. I say all-you-can-eat dinner, not buffet, because the food items are individually ordered and plated, sometimes even individually finalized. And the food is of restaurant quality. We really came for their fish. I mean, raw and cooked fish. The restaurant's theme is Japanese anime. Naturally, most dishes - if not all, are inspired by Japanese seafood tradition and lean heavily on sushi and sashimi. (Despite the Japanese facade, the restaurant is owned and operated by people of Chinese heritage like many suishi restaurants are.) Raw fish dishes here are a good showcase of their care in ingredients and in preparation. They also distinguish themselves from sushi buffets in the varieties of dishes offered. Ville-Marie where K2 Bistro is located in is a busy commercial district. But the restaurant has a small storefront and comparatively less flashy exterior. Combined with their pricepoint, most diners must be seeking them out. Shortly after we entered around 5pm in a December evening, the dining hall on the second floor was filled with what could only be described as repeat visitors. Once inside, you are immersed in Studio-Ghibili-themed decors from wall to wall. Whether ceiling-to-floor panels or 3D installations, they are crafted with care. Once seated, you use a touchscreen on the side of your table to order. Compared with full service restaurants, food comes relatively fast. Food is prepared somewhere on the first floor and fetched through the same staircase you walk up from. I was facing the staircase, and was amazed by the lack of real danger of servers clashing with guests the entire time! Some food items require a finishing touch, such as a torch-over. This is performed on a narrow counter on the second floor. When there is no food, that counter looks like a normal space divider. When something needs a finishing comes up, someone magically appears, torch (or other equipment/ingredient) in hand. Nothing theatrical. But if you think of the logistics, K2 Bistro is nothing short of magic. All in all, K2 Bistro offers an enjoyable dining experience - and a satisfactory meal. It has certainly attracted a dedicated following among Montreal's digital economy participants. But if you are from out of town, and/or not from the digital-native generation, seek them out. You won't be disappointed!

It was good I loved it we had a great time and yeah that’s about it
Amazing food, probably the best sushi buffet I’ve been to. Would be better if there was a little more staff for the size of the place, but besides that - great experience!
Great place, amazing food. A little short on staff. Besides that all great.
We went there for Valentine's day, they had strawberry dubai chocolates as complimentary which was so cute. We really enjoyed all the sushi, they were fresh and tasty. I like that they also have other options available like padthai and fried rice. Sashimi was fresh and grilled chicken was tender. The only thing is that wonton soup was a little too salty and the grilled beef was not so tender.
Been 2 weeks we try to call to do a réservation and no want answer the phone it keep ringing no response
Really good food, service a little slow sometimes
Amazing service, food is really good for the price, big variety of sushi of every sort and fried things. I recommend 100%.
Every year when we come to Montreal, we make sure to visit K2 Bistro at least twice. In fact my wife starts talking about it on the plane asking if maybe this year we should go three times instead. Everything is absolutely delicious and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. It’s not just a restaurant for us anymore it feels like a little tradition a place that makes our Montreal days even more special. Already looking forward to our next visit.
The food was good nothing too special but the service was the worse service i got in montreal! for example, our waitress was walking literally next to us i was calling her she looked at me, turned her face and did not respond. The staff was suuuuuper rude for no reason. All of it was just a bad experience.
Really delicious foods, was pleasantly surprised, things were tasty, service was great, a bit pricey, but would come back for sure
Great variety for the all you can eat. 2hr per reservation.
I really wish I could give this restaurant more stars, because the food itself was good. Unfortunately, the service completely took away from the experience. From the moment we walked in, the waitress was cold and unwelcoming. When we politely asked to sit at another table (since the restaurant was empty and the table assigned placed us tightly between two larger groups), we were abruptly told “no” without any explanation, and in a very rude tone. It felt unnecessarily dismissive and uncomfortable. Good food can’t make up for poor service. Sadly, I wouldn’t return because of how we were treated.
The whole menu is really good and the sushi seems really fresh. The hot food is also nice to try. I did not like the "ice cream" but i'm not here for that 🙄 i'll come back for the sushi, the ramen and the pork. The decor is pretty and cute!
I had an incredible experience at K2 Bistro! The tasty sushi selection was impressive, with fresh ingredients and unique combinations that left my taste buds dancing. The friendly staff made me feel right at home, providing excellent service throughout my visit. The wonderful environment and great decoration added to the overall ambiance, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The easy order system was a bonus, allowing us to savor a variety of dishes without any hassle. I can't wait to return for another delightful feast!
The food was amazing, atmosphere staff and service were equally fantastic, absolutely would recommend!
So I’be been about a half dozen times. When I go to an all you can eat my expectations aren’t the highest however at this location my issue is definitely inconsistency in the service which I feel makes it difficult to recommend to others. The food is relatively quick. I don’t have an issue per day about food quality here but I will admit it was better some times than others (for example regarding sushi rice quality). The service can be fairly cold, the very last time I went it took time just to get water which was served after my initial food order. Doesn’t seem like they mind if tables are clean or not (just something I’ve observed). The second to last time is where I definitely received an unacceptable experience. Very cold out and we do a lineup (myself and a friend) only to be told once we get to the front that it’s a half hour wait for a table. Would be reasonable to announce to the lineup that This the case. Lastly the same manager that told us this is openly scolding another staff member in front of clients ; don’t feel that this is professional. I went one last time afterwards , to give it another chance but I think it’s safe to say there’s better options in the area.
Good food, cute place Uncomfortable seating Kind waiters
An AYCE with the best quality and variety in Montreal
Very very good
Really interesting Spirited Away themed all you can eat sushi bar! If you are doing all you can eat, you order on an iPad which made this very convenient for ordering multiple rounds. If you speak English, the iPad really helps out with translating. Definitely had some unique sushi rolls I've never had before. Really liked the dragon eye and K2 roll. They also have homemade juices that come in little branded plastic cans. I got the mango juice one. Was pretty busy but lots of little tables. Probably better for small groups or 2 people. Was moderately loud in side. Lots of cool things to look at on the walls and decorations. The food was good and our server was attentive.
Beautiful establishment with delicious options.
