A very warm and cozy place with a beautiful decoration. The concept of sitting among books while enjoying a coffee makes the atmosphere feel calm and relaxing. It’s a great spot if you like quiet environments and literary vibes. I didn’t get the chance to try the coffee during my visit, so I can’t comment on the drinks, but the atmosphere and the decoration alone make this place feel special and welcoming.

Such an amazing place! The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful — cozy, inspiring, and perfect for slowing down. The coffee and pie were delicious, and the interior design is truly unique and thoughtfully done. A perfect spot to relax with a book and enjoy a peaceful moment. Highly recommend!

Super friendly staff! Love the concept of a small coffee shop that is also a library! Coffee and snacks were really nice, the only reason why it's not 5 stars is because they're so busyyyy my friend and I could barely sit when we arrived. Overall, I recommend strongly and will definitely go back to Joie de Livres!

Took a trip to Montreal and found this lovely little book store. So much beautiful detail in their decor. Had a yummy creamy latte and my daughter had a refreshing peach iced tea. Staff were lovely and tolerated my broken French.

Absolutely lovely bookstore with a great horror section! Great food and cocktails and a space to sip and read. They hold great events and book clubs! Everyone who works there is so kind! Shout out to James for hosting a great hellraiser event!

Beautiful bookstore! My first visit and they have a huge selection of romance in every sub genre. They even have some other fiction sub genres in the back as well as a kids section. We didn't get to try the cafe.

I’ve been wanting to visit for ages and it doesn’t disappoint! Excellent food and drinks, impeccable vibes, I will be back many times. Loved being welcomed and oriented at the door!

This is my favourite café in Montréal, and honestly an incredible place—especially for someone like me who loves fantasy and science-fiction books. Today, though, it was packed. Two people were sitting at a table meant for four, with their coats and books spread everywhere. I asked the staff if something could be done, but nothing happened, so I ended up leaving. I totally understand this kind of thing when the café is quiet, but when it’s busy, it feels reasonable to ask two people to use a smaller table so others can sit too.
