When I visit cities and walk around like a tourist, I love stopping into pubs for a beer to sit, reset, and reorient myself. Montréal didn’t really deliver on that—not many pub style places were opened, or everything was closed or hidden behind Québec’s national emblem: the construction cone 😄 So thank god for Pub John Michael’s 🍻 Exactly what I needed. Cold pint, no hassle, and a warm, welcoming vibe right when I needed it most. The Philly cheesesteak was a bit bready, but still delicious, and the fries were crispy and satisfying. Service was friendly and efficient—quick, attentive, and no fuss. Inside has that great pub feel with plenty of seating and TVs, but still relaxed enough to just sit back and recharge. Price-wise, about $58 all-in (Philly, beer, and tip) felt steep—but hey, inflation hits us all these days. Clutch stop when everything else seemed closed. Would absolutely come back.
