i came in with my service dog and the owner asked me to wait outside for my food or leave. When I don’t think that’s normally a request they ask customers. He didn't ask for documentation for my service dog even when I offered to show. He just said it’s a dog in a restaurant and that he didn’t want “it” in here. He told me to leave or wait outside until my food was ready. This is a violation of AODA law and very illegal. I'm very disappointed because i loved to eat at this place. They serve wonderful food But if the owner doesn't want disabled people at his establishment or can’t follow basic law then I will take my business elsewhere maybe even pizza pizza down the street 😅😭( Edit!! Joe this has nothing to do with my mom’s work Ethic she did what you told her to do which was to come tell me to remove my service dog because you didn’t come and ask if it was a service dog.. even after I mentioned that he’s a service dog required by law and that I have my paperwork for him I was still asked to wait outside. i’m a paying customer And the way I was treated because you thought My medical piece of equipment was a pet is not ok. But thanks for your “apology” Vest or no vest it’s always best To ask the handler, the two required Questions by law to see if they are a true service dog I didn’t even get asked those questions and when I told them I still got asked to leave.

This place is a true gem in Pembroke! From the moment you walk in, you’re made to feel genuinely welcome in such a special way. Shannon provided outstanding service, and Stuart’s food was absolutely exquisite, he even took the time to check in and make sure everything was perfect. To top it all off, Joe came by to see how our visit was, which really shows how much they care. I will definitely be coming back!

When I picked up my order there was a slight wait. There was a group that ordered the eat it all it's free. I later seen on Facebook a post showing that they were not successful.

Our go-to pizza spot. 🍕 Joes delivers the full Ottawa Valley vibe; fresh ingredients, pizzas baked right on the stone (not the pan), and fries done properly in beef tallow. The owner is as genuine as it gets and truly embodies what it means to be local and proud. Even better, you’ll find a nod to Valley legend with the Big Joe Mufferaw slice. This is how we feed our skydivers!

The BEST pizza we have ever had. We are so lucky to have Joes so close to us in Pembroke. Their fries are fried in beef tallow! We knew we couldn’t stop eating their poutine and now we know why. Truly an epic find, an Ottawa Valley must eat with the culture resonating through and through.

Pizza is amazing... Joe is just such a genuine amazing human. I didn't feel like a customer going in there. It's a 40 minute drive for me. But I will do it for my weekly pizza. I didn't get photos cause the food was to good. Thank you joe for the cheeseburger pizza to Holy that was amazing.

The last few visits I've had at Joes Family Pizzeria has been over the top delicious. Unsure if your son (Joey) has perfected the craft but the last few pizzas and poutines were better than I remembered. I'm happy to support a family run business but even happier when the food tastes well and the thought of returning makes me salivate.
