Stopped there for lunch during a road trip and it was everything we needed. The portions were generous, the smoked meat was very tender and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend!

Waited at the table 15 minutes after being seated, no service. They took the orders of everyone next to us, who arrived after us, and then we were left hanging 6-7 minutes so we left before even being able to order.

We were on our way up the St. Lawrence River from Québec and stopped at cute Baie-Saint-Paul for a wander, when we came upon this really buzzy smoked meat place. We had to stop. Joe's has a traditional bar, at which you can eat, as well as a small dining room. We were given a big, warm Quebecois greeting and ordered their: - Lassiette garnie: Sandwich, salade de chou maison, cornichon et chips (chips being "crisps", not fries). This was a very traditional smoked meat sandwich and was stuffed with plenty of delicious, moist, tasty meat. A good sandwich! Definitely recommended. First time eating smoked meat and what an experience! The place is a small restaurant where everything smells like smoked meat, the portions are very generous and service is lighting fast. The only thing to complaint is that you come out of there smelling like food, but hey I guess that is part of the experience :)
