As a delivery driver, I regularly interact with many restaurants, and unfortunately, this was one of the more disappointing pickup experiences I’ve encountered. Upon arrival, there was little to no acknowledgment from the staff, even after I clearly indicated I was there for a scheduled pickup. While I understand that delays can happen, there was a lack of communication regarding the status of the order. When I politely asked for an update, the response felt dismissive and lacked basic professionalism. A simple update or courteous interaction would have made a significant difference. Delivery drivers play an important role in the overall customer experience, and respectful communication is essential on both sides. I hope the team can improve in this area, as it would greatly enhance efficiency and working relationships.

This place was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The service wasn’t just bad—it was a complete joke. We stood there like idiots waiting to be seated while the staff blatantly ignored us, acting like acknowledging customers was somehow beneath them. When someone finally decided to do their job, the attitude was unbelievably rude. Every question we asked was met with eye-rolls and snarky responses, like we were the problem for expecting basic service. It honestly felt like the staff had zero training in how to treat people—or just didn’t care at all. The whole experience was frustrating, disrespectful, and a waste of time. If you enjoy being treated poorly and ignored, then sure, go ahead and eat here. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else.

I walked into the restaurant expecting a routine pickup—just another stop in a busy shift. The place wasn’t even that crowded, but no one acknowledged me. I stood there for a few minutes, phone in hand, order number ready, waiting for even a simple nod. Nothing. When I finally got someone’s attention and mentioned I was there for a pickup, the response was cold and dismissive. No greeting, no eye contact—just a vague gesture and a muttered reply. The order wasn’t ready, which happens, but there was no effort to communicate how long it might take. As the minutes passed, I watched other staff chat among themselves while I stood there, feeling more like an inconvenience than part of the workflow. When I asked again for an update, the tone I received was impatient and unnecessarily rude. Eventually, the order was handed over without a word. I left, not just delayed, but frustrated. It wasn’t the wait that stood out—it was the lack of basic respect. In a job where timing and coordination matter, a little professionalism goes a long way. Unfortunately, that was missing here.

I pick up orders from a lot of places as a delivery driver, and this was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The staff’s attitude was completely out of line. I walked in, clearly identified myself for a pickup, and was met with indifference and straight-up disrespect. The order wasn’t ready, which is fine—but the way they handled it was not. No updates, no acknowledgment, just being ignored while staff acted like I didn’t exist. When I asked for a simple status check, the response was rude and unnecessarily hostile, like I was asking for a favor instead of doing my job. There’s a serious lack of professionalism here. Delivery drivers are working under time pressure, and being treated this way is unacceptable. If this is how they treat people they rely on, it says a lot about their business. I’ll definitely think twice before picking up from here again.

As a delivery driver, I’ve dealt with all kinds of restaurants, but this was by far one of the worst pickup experiences I’ve had. The staff’s behavior was completely unacceptable. From the moment I walked in, I was ignored and treated with zero respect, even after clearly stating I was there for a pickup. The order wasn’t ready, which happens—but what’s not okay is the attitude. When I politely asked for an update, the staff responded with rude, dismissive comments and acted like I was bothering them just by doing my job. There was no communication, no basic courtesy, just constant bad behavior and unprofessionalism. Drivers are part of your service chain, and treating them poorly only reflects badly on your business. This kind of disrespect makes the job unnecessarily difficult. I won’t be accepting pickups from this place again unless they seriously improve how they treat people.

I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed uninterested and inattentive. We waited far too long just to be acknowledged, and even longer to place our order. When the food finally arrived, it was not worth the wait. What made the experience worse was the behavior of the staff. They were rude, dismissive, and seemed annoyed whenever we asked simple questions. At one point, a server responded with an attitude that felt completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Customer service is just as important as the food, and unfortunately, this place failed badly on that front. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

I know they have a bunch of Franchises, but i always enjoy going back the one in Verdun [the original]. I find it the best! Friendly staff, place is very clean.

10/10, Hands-down the best chicken in Montreal. We come to Verdun all the time for Jack le Coq. Service was beyond incredible, and the manager hand-delivered the food and was extremely personable. Employees were very patient and kind. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and very clean. The lighting and restaurant layout gives it a retro-style diner vibe. I recommend Jack le Cock to everyone I know.

My boyfriend had a Jack burger last night and has had food poisoning since this morning. He’s laying in bed with a fever right now. Please be more careful when preparing your food so this doesn’t happen to other people. We’re certainly not going back.

Person who took my order tried telling me it would be impossible to not put sauce on my burger, and tried to backtrack when I called him out on the obvious lie. Still tipped, but when I pressed 10% it immediately applied a 30% tip.
