I visited this restaurant last summer alone and the bad experience still has stayed with me because of how I was treated. When I walked in, the server at the front ignored me and began assisting another lady who arrived after me. I even made an eye contact with the server but she decided to ignore. Thankfully, the lady pointed out that I had been waiting first. I was then seated at the bar despite there being multiple empty tables. I understand that solo dinners are sometimes seated this way. But I waited about 15 minutes without a single server checking on me other than one bar staff gave me a menu. Eventually, this really upset me so I left. I had planned to order an appetizer, main and drinks as I was very hungry. I cant say for certain what the reason was, but the experience made me feel very unwelcome and gave a bad impression about the city itself ( I was visiting the city for work). I did notice all the staff I interacted were white, and as someone who is not, it made me question whether that played a role. I didnt leave a review at that time, but this experience has continue to bother me so I thought I should share so that it doesn't happen to others in the future.
Reviews / Ratings for India Rosa DIX30
Food was adjusted to our needs (my wife and I). A special thanks to Jade and Yannick, both incredible, made our night memorable. Butter chicken was excellent, and in my honest opinion, the best one ive tasted so far. A bit noisy, but with a great atmosphere. I recommend making a stop if you like *gourmet food* (also if you appreciate indian food, you won't be disapointed.) We booked a room in this hotel and we tought of trying this restaurwnt since it was downstairs. Just the interactions are enough to make plans for the future.
I’ve tried the location in Griffintown before and liked it, and the Brossard one is just as good in terms of food quality. We ordered the classic butter chicken and the jarret d’agneau as mains, along with the Aloo Tikki as an entrée. Everything was excellent — flavourful, well-prepared, and truly enjoyable. However, the service was not great, and it took a long time for the food to come to our table. I also had to flag down our waitress a couple of times just to get another drink. The restaurant wasn’t busy that day, so the slow service was even more noticeable. I’d also avoid ordering cocktails that have a lot of ice. Vegan options available. Exterior parking is available.
The dishes are delicious, but the wait for them and the bill is excessively long. Clearly, they need to hire more staff
The lamb dish and cod dish were both excellent, but the respective sauces were just a little too sweet for my taste. The Garlic Naan was great and the mixed vegetables were fantastic. The cocktails are quite delicious but quite expensive!
Nice place, good service and great food.
Always a great time, food is a 1000/10💯 Excellent service from Zineb
Food was great but too spicy for us! Would suggest to offer levels of spiciness for the food. Thanks!
Siara was such an attentive waitress. Her knowledge of the menu and gluten free options is excellent! We will definitely dine here again.
I went for the brunch, I would say that the food could be less spicy. I know that it’s an Indian culinary but it could be adapted for local culture. I went with my kids, they said it is too spicy.
Expansive but worth it
Loved the food here!
We visited India Rosa for dinner and it was our first time trying Indian cuisine. It was truly impressive. The food was amazing and full of flavor. We especially loved the Dahi Puri, the grilled salmon, the beet salad, and their naan — everything was delicious. Our server Maximum was very warm and attentive. She took the time to explain the dishes and the portion sizes, which really helped us choose what to order. It was a very enjoyable dining experience, and we will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.
Excellent service from Audrey Anne our host/server. Food was as always exceptional. It was a busy night even if after 20:00, very noisy to keep a conversation with my date but i understand. Maybe have secluded area for customers expressing the wishes to be seated in a less noisy part of your restaurant, understand the logistics nightmare that can represent, I leave this in your good care.
Amazing food ! Amazing service !
Absolutely loved the experience and the food. Everything we took on the menu was very flavorful. I definitely recommend trying the Malai Kofta from the vegetarian menu, it's one of my absolute favorite!! The drinks were very delicious as well!!
One of the best & perfect Indian taste-like restaurant near Montreal. Chef is Indian & servers & management is French. Taste & food quality was amazing & every inch was perfect for all dishes made by chef. Management is also amazing providing very nice service & suggestions to us.
Absolutely amazing experience at India Rosa! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and welcoming. The food was outstanding — full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was fresh, perfectly spiced, and incredibly satisfying. What really made the night special was being served by Yannick, the owner and bartender. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. He was attentive, personable, and clearly passionate about both the food and the drinks. His cocktail recommendations were spot on and paired perfectly with our meal. It’s rare to find a place where the service feels so genuine and the quality is consistently top-tier. You can tell Yannick truly cares about his guests and his restaurant.
It is absolutely obnoxious to have the hostess race after the seated party to state that there is a 2 hour limit on a reserved table. If your kitchen was faster perhaps this would not be necessary. Management needs to mature.
Everything was amazing except that we waited for about 45mins for our first drinks and then received our food about 1H45 after arriving (table of 4)
Great service! The new gerant very friendly and proactive , and the 2 young barman too and staff's , food 10/10
Jade was my server and she did an incredible. She was kind, explained the menu to me and came by a few times to make sure that all was well. Although the prices are high, the flavor of the food was amazing. The hostess was welcoming and kind as well.
We usually visit the Griffintown location, which is why we decided to try this branch as well. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different. The food was acceptable for sure, but the service was very disappointing. Cutlery was placed directly on the table, which felt unhygienic. There was no warmth or basic courtesy from the server—no smile or sense of welcome. What was most uncomfortable was being made to feel that a minimum 20% tip was expected, despite the poor service. I paid to avoid an argument, but it left a bad impression.Overall, this visit did not meet expectations, and I won’t be returning to this location
Our first visit to the Dix30 location. A wonderful space! An elevated brunch experience. Food was very flavourful and it all came with a warm welcome to attentive service. Free & Easy parking us a bonus. Will return for sure.
The food was amazing. I told all my family that they had to come and try it out!!! I will definitely be back again
