We had a 6 p.m. reservation and arrived a little early, but were seated right away. The service was impeccable — attentive without being overbearing — and we felt genuinely well taken care of throughout the evening. Even though we were slightly ahead of the dinner rush, all three courses came out promptly and were beautifully prepared. The antipasto was well balanced and more than generous for two people. The seafood pasta was fresh, perfectly cooked, and loaded with seafood — exactly what you’d hope for. The veal Parmesan was the best I’ve had in years: well seasoned, with a perfect balance of pasta and cheese. And the crème brûlée was absolutely worth saving room for. I would absolutely recommend this spot as a must-visit when you’re in Quebec City.

Great food!!!!!! Not that expensive for the location. Awesome service. A+ experience.
This is THE restaurant for excellent authentic Italian cuisine. Service is excellence and atmosphere top! We are locals and will differently be back.
There were 5 of us so we decided to order a lot of different plates and do family style. To start we got the Carpaccio Di Manzo, Bruschetta Di Pomodoro, and Insalata Di Rucola E Prosciutto Di Parma. Second round was their signature Pappardelle al Funghi, Agnellotti, Scaloppina Di Vitello (Limone), and the Joue De Boeuf Braisée. The pappardelle was amazing and had plenty of mushrooms mixed in. The beef cheek was fork tender and melted in your mouth, paired with a dark au jou that was so flavorful. The agnelotti was tossed in a basil cream sauce that made your palate dance. The lemon veal was one of my favorite dishes of the night, covered in a creamy lemon pepper sauce. For dessert we had the Bombas which were two fried donuts drizzled in a hot nutella sauce. We also had the Tiramisu and Tartufo, an Italian chocolate ice cream. From start to end, the food and service was phenomenal. Thank you Matto for an evening I won’t soon forget!
Really great experience. We had dinner here as guests of the hotel. Enjoyed the drinks (my fiance always gets espresso martinis and he loved theirs). Arancini app was amazing - delicious marinara sauce! We both loved our pasta (veal parm and manicotti). We saw the margherita pizza and had to try it... it was incredible. Seemed very authentic (I've been to Italy) and this is my fave kind of pizza. It was to die for. We did make a reservation so there was no wait. Overall a lovely dinner!
We were hopeful for a great meal. The eggplant parm was cold in the middle and the ossobuco came in a tomatoe sauce which was not very good. The calamari was great, but the main meal left us disappointed.
I had our dinner here as we stayed in the hotel 71. Food, service and atmosphere are all good. For food, I gave 4 stars and it is good but not very special for us.
Awesome food, even better service! A true highlight of our trip.
The flavour of the dishes were very authentic, good portions, and overall lovely experience. The salad and spaghetti di mama were excellent, the soup of the day was creamy and well balanced. Good quality, portion sizes and reasonably priced.
