This place is just as I remember, a staple of the lachine water front restaurants great wood stove pizza accompanied by all the right flavor profiles. Very nice ambiance and service is on point. Couple of reason I don't give a 5 star rating, on the way to the washrooms we over heard some getting chewed out for some kind of error that was made, something else is the place has not changed in ages and lastly this place is exactly the same for as long as I could remember not yet to have had a menu that gets me excited to try something else.

We had dinner last night, Jan. 21st at Il Fornetto. We have been there many many times over the years and always had a fantastic meal. However, last night's dinner was horrible. The veal marsala was tasteless (like they had watered down the sauce and I had to put salt on my meal), the pizza was just OK and the spaghetti bolognese was watered down as well. We were very disappointed. We told the waitress of our disappointment, were not looking for a free meal or discount, but what surprised us the most is that the owner/manager (who was there) never came over to our table to discuss our comments and apologize for our discontent. Sadly, not sure if we will return.

I absolutely love this place—day or night. The service is consistently excellent, the atmosphere impeccable, and the food always satisfying. The waterfront terrace is simply stunning.

The staff here are very attentive and helpful and pleasant. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely. The restaurant was full - but they layout is such that you feel very much in your own environment. There were vegan options for the vegan among us (me) - and for my mom's 90th birthday they gave her a tiramisu with a sparkler on the house. Highly recommend

Il Foonetto has been a "go to" favourite restaurant for my family for decades. We celebrate birthdays, anniversaraies, and "Hey - its Friday night!" We recently celebrates my one-year anniversary of my heart bypass surgery. The food was excellent and service warm, friendly and efficient. I guess that's why we keep going back.

Great Italian restaurant in Lachine! We had a great experience at Il Fornetto. Ordered the Calabrese pizza which is mozzarella cheese, spicy oil, Italian sausage. Fantastic pizza. Great char from the wood oven on the crispy crust. You see the oven in the restaurant and it smells incredible as soon as you walk in. The ingredients are all savory and taste fresh. The portion is perfect for one person. The price is fair. The restaurant is pretty high end and the service was good. It has a very cozy vibe inside. We came on a Sunday night around 7pm with no reservation and waited around 10 minutes for a table.

Recently enjoyed a lovely birthday dinner at this warm and inviting restaurant in Lachine. The ceasar salad was great and the lasagna was delicious and everyone else in our party enjoyed their meals as well. The service was outstanding. Looking forward to trying it during the summer months.

Excellent wood‑fired pizza. The crust comes out perfectly blistered, the ingredients are fresh. Friendly staff and great flavors. Highly recommend.

Great service & great food all-round. The pizza is excellent and the service is fast. We were there on NYE and we didn't wait for anything despite it being completely booked. My daughter is lactose intolerant so we bring our own cheese. NO PROBLEM. Amazing I wish all places could be as accommodating.
