We live about 6 streets away from this little gem of a restaurant but did not discover it until we were looking for a sushi place to celebrate my husband's retirement this last week. The reviews were wonderful and I saw the the owner personally wrote back to each reviewer, often calling them by name, and thanking them for their review. That is the level of personal care and service that shone through every aspect of Ikigai Sushi from the first interaction to the delicious food and beautiful detailed presentation, dotted with flowers. The owners were so very welcoming, the sushi was so fresh and of high quality, and the portions were generous. The shashimi just melted in one's mouth. We really enjoyed the variety of color, texture and ingredients and just wanted to take our time and savour each piece. We will definitely return. !Chapeau to the owners!... and deep gratitude for creating such a caring, creative and excellent offering in Ahuntsic.
