Very disappointing experience. I ordered chicken karahi, but what I received tasted more like chicken qorma/tikka, and it was not what I ordered at all. The naan was completely soaked in oil, and the whole meal tasted terrible. I only had one hour for my lunch break, and I used that time to go there, wait, and order my food, only to end up with something I couldn’t even enjoy. It was honestly absolutely disgusting and a complete waste of my lunch break and money. I definitely would not recommend this place based on my experience.

Honestly it’s not bad, the service was impeccable and they were very nice. Food wise, it was okay. Portions sizes were decent, the food was decent. The options were diverse and prices were reasonable. You can customize the spice levels and it’s pretty good overall. Spicy was not actually that spicy.

I tried their chicken roll on 2 different occasions and I’m pleased to say both days they used fresh ingredients that made them the roll taste delicious. The rolls don’t taste the conventional way; I’m used to in Montreal, but it still made it taste delicious! Please keep up the good work and consistency

First time I ate there, the place very dirty in the side yard. The bathroom also dirty. People seemed friendly but communication very hard with some staff. Food long to get but taste good. Did not like the aloo gobi nor lamb curry but saag paneer and shahi paneer great. I asked veg. thali to avoid dairy products but the joke was on me because there's a lot of it. The thali had no chana... My food was 37$...a week later I took 2 buses to get back but note nxt to door says be back at 2pm!!! And it's 12:45! Some kids needed to go to the bathroom and were hungry. We went many different restaurants on Henri-Bourassa and all had their bathroom out of service even to clients! We asked them last week to clean the place up and they haven't.We walked more than a houre in the skortching sun to get back home because buses don't pass often...

The food was tasty and decently proportioned for how affordable it was and the staff was very kind and helpful. The only drink here is water though but they had no problem letting us get drinks elsewhere and drink them here so prepare in advance if you want a coke or something. There was also a distinct lack of any music or entertainment on the TV, which left me and my wife to have a lot of awkward silences while waiting for our food, but maybe that's because we went to eat at 10:15pm.

Just good quality food, everything was fresh and super tasty, we both thought it was super delicious. Tandoori chicken was a standout for me, other places it's often kinda dry and bland but here the chicken was juicy and the seasoning was thick and flavorful.

It's our 1st time here at ikbal maison. Honestly, the best malai Kofta I have ever tried ( I must mention I have tried indian food at lots of restaurants in canada and outside ,even in india). The taste was exceptional, not the generic creamy curry that feels heavy after few bites. My husband tried their special chicken wraps (server's recommendation), his response was " this a really good indian sandwich and most delicious curry I have ever tasted." 😋 oh and they use some kind of unique spice for their chai, the minute it arrived in front of me , the aroma ..wowwww it made me smile, just what I needed on a raining weather outside. Loved our experience, we will visit again, whenever we are in montreal again. * and they have fair prices and good portions, compared to other Indian restaurants, where single plate of curry costs you $17 minimum (and you find very little protein inside)

1st they didn't answer their phone to pre-order a pick up, so I had to go in person and order and wait longer. 2nd I ordered 2 chana samosa and it was so nasty. It was missing salt and it looked like they just drenched it in different sauces, it was way too liquidy. I always try chana samosa from different restaurants in Montreal and this is by far the worst one. Restaurant was empty, for the time I was there were no other pick up orders. I am not sure how this place got a 4.7.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the portions were generous. The staff were warm, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had a great atmosphere. The Chatpati and Aloo Tikki were excessively spicy despite my request for a mild spice level, which caused significant stomach discomfort. There was also a noticeable smell of oil or sauce that affected the overall quality and taste of the food. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish the meal and had to throw it out, as it was not suitable for me to consume.

Nice cosy spot. I really enjoyed the Chole Bhature - a solid 10/10 for me. The bhature was fluffy and not oily at all, hats off to the chef (I've come across several other restaurants in MTL where the interior of the bhaturas had oil inside due to lack of skill or improper frying oil temperature). The chickpeas masala was flavoursome, authentic Indian flavour - you can specify how spicy you want it. The tanginess of the mixed pickles, crunch of the fresh salad and the creaminess of the thick curd/ yogurt (other restaurants provide watery yogurt) made it a wholesome experience. I had a cup of spiced chai (tea) - again a wonderful cup of freshly made tea! Some Indian restaurant in MTL are serving instant 'chai latte' from those coffee machine that tastes artificial, else a cup of watery tea with cheap tea bags. Thankfully it's not the case here! Looking forward to try the main dishes soon. Update: Also tried Paneer Labadar + Garlic naan. And also Shahi Paneer+ Lacha Paratha.
