We had a large party of 15 so they gave us a room off of the main room. It was perfect! The service was amazing! The food was good but limited. Lots of beer to select
What guests say about Hurley's Irish Pub
Customers like the Irish pub atmosphere, often described as warm, festive, and lively, with plenty of live music and a good selection of beers and drinks. Service is often seen as friendly and professional, but several reviews also mention delays, crowds, and a few very negative experiences with certain staff members or security. As for the food, opinions are mixed: many find the dishes good, while others find some portions small, the quality uneven, or the prices high.
Reviews / Ratings for Hurley's Irish Pub
Came to Hurleys Irish pub catching the end of f1 weekend on the Sunday night, even though it was the most packed I’ve ever seen it. The bartender (Ethan) treated me and my girlfriend so kindly. Always smiling and even bought us a round. I’ll recommend anyone to hurleys to look out for the skinny bartender with the buzz cut behind the bar. Will be back and definitely my go to spot for the thirsty nights.
good location. fun place to be . but everything else is very below average . the food is nothing i would miss, the service is slow and was very busy , i understand it was a busy weekend for formula and cannucks but you should have hired extra staff for that weekend instead of just treating it as a normal weekend and make every customer's evening worse
What a lively diverse place . Food is delightful and fresh ... The chips are incredible. Our server Olive was a treat and so bubbly. Prices are resonable and lots of diverse seating areas.
Located in the downtown, it was an easy find for me and my friends. But what a terrible experience it was! The staffs were overtly non-welcoming for people of color. The man standing at the front (possibly the bouncer but hard to say as he was repeatedly saying that "you people are not welcome at MY pub") was particularly aggressive. Absolutely shameful!
The behaviour of the staff is very unprofessional and rude, and we even faced racial slur without any provocation. Disgraceful is the least and most reserved way to explain the hospitality of the place. I would put a 0 or negative star if the option was there.
The vibes were great for a Friday night pub scene and the service was friendly. The problem is with the menu. It was more expensive than the quality is worth and there wasn't even the option for a plate of plain fries which means a person in our party was unable to eat anything. Anyone with dietary restrictions may have issues eating here.
Had a terrible experience. Went to enjoy a nice evening but things took a terrible turn. We wanted to sit outside and there was one table and two chairs available. The waitress said if we can get more chairs we can sit. We were gathering chairs and the bouncer came running and charging us that we were stealing chairs and apparently we were not allowed to move chairs around. We told him that the waitress told us to move the chairs and we had asked the waitress and without listening to us started pushing us on the road. He pushed one of my friends and started yelling and said foul language. After he got physical with us, he almost punched and knocked one of friends glasses. He called us racists, the irony. We have been students at the university nearby and never had this type of behavior from a bar bouncer at any other places nearby. The more we tried to reason with him, the more agitated he became. The students go there to unwind and we also went there to have a good time. I suggest the place should keep better bouncers who don't start a fight and more so don't start a wrongful fight. Really shameful and horrible experience. I hope other students be very careful of this place.
Stopped the music 25 minute before, the bartender, never served us until the very end to tell us our drink are too lomg to make. I'm a bartender. If you can't make 2 expresso martini plus 2 rum and coke in 20 minutes at least don't laugh at us and say that we are french people to your coworker like we are some sort of animal. Just say so and we'll be clever. Bald guy that worked on thursday 21
Great place for a great time ! Tell your friends
the place to be in montreal.
Staple Irish pub of downtown Montreal. It needs a good cleaning to bring back it's luster.
Amazing staff!!
Nice place
Good professional bartenders that know what they are doing. Great atmosphere with some Irish music. This is a real Irish pub and not a pretender. Did not try food so I don't know. Bathrooms are clean. It's a good stop. It does get crowded with college kids later on but they are fun.
Great atmosphere, very good food and beer, the waitress was not impressive, no water or check up at the table, and it was very quiet at lunch time on a Wednesday, so it was not that she was overly busy!
I went there twice before concerts, good spot for sure, but compared to the others bars and restaurants nearby, it's pricey for sure, when you pay over $60 for 2 beers and 2 appetizers.. I didn't experience the live music, this review is just about the pricing, everything else is great!
A tall blonde waitress/bartender at the bar tonight (Friday, April 24) had a very rude attitude from the beginning. She was pushing people just to get through. While people were dancing, she pushed two people at the same time, and it was so hard that one of them fell into me. I also fell to the ground and hit my head badly against a chair. She didn’t even come to apologize or check if I was okay. Her behavior was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I’ve been to this place a few times before and I always found the atmosphere and staff polite and professional, but this employee is absolutely not suitable for working in such a small and crowded place. I strongly recommend that if you see her, do not take service from her.
Great musicians!
Went for a few drinks , live 2 man band was awesome . Friendly staff, our server Trinity was great . Cozy feel and a lot of hidden spots inside
Not a place that you want to go especially after Pandemic. Cresent street becoming unsafe environment. Beware of the neibourhood.
Very nice evening at the CHOM 97.7 rock trivia night. Good food and drinks and a fun ambiance. Nice clean washrooms too.
Such a cozy atmosphere to enjoy a beer and some delicious fries. They have darts as well!
Good atmosphere, cool that they had a free comedy show. The fries were overcooked and my water was never refilled once even after the ice was eaten lol
Such friendly people and good beer! Tuesday nights there’s an Irish trad session on the top floor, wonderful musicians. Really good fries also 👌
