Good food decent service and live music. I like the atmosphere. I will definitely be returning. Our server Michael had an epic beard and was very helpful. 👍👍👍👍
Very easy check-in and check=out. Whenever I had a question, the evening staff (via text), Chelsea proved so pleasant, patient, and ultimately very helpful. I will definitely want to stay here if I choose to overnight it in Alymer again.
Comedy Night Feb 27th 2026, great night, very well organized, $25 tickets available to purchase on the British website, links available through social media. Easy to pick a table, doors open at 6pm, show started promptly at 8pm. We ordered the calamari and poutine. Both generous portions, calamari fresh and crispy with a spicy dusting on them and a sriracha aioli, poutine was rich and laden with cheese curds. Our server was Sam, he was attentive and very sweet. We shared a bottle of wine while laughing whole heartedly at the comedians that entertained us for the next 1hr and a half. We are already planning to attend the next comedy night!! Great Job 👏🏻 Pub Only - Sheila, Marie & Ophelia served us, they are sweet and attentive, great service. We ordered the Sangria and Greek Dip. The Sangria was delicious, it was the best Sangria I had all summer!!! I can’t wait to have it again, get the pitcher. The Greek dip was simple fresh and yummy. Later we ordered the bruschetta lacked flavour i would skip it. The location is great with lots of outdoor seating, on a Sunday evening it was surprisingly empty. Reasonable prices, I will be back.
Reserved for 20 people for my wife's bday lunch. They also baked a black forest cake that was uber delicious. Great service and friendly staff.
. Based on my experience, this property operates more like an Airbnb-style rental rather than a traditional hotel, and this distinction was not clearly communicated in the listing. The property is fully self check-in, which is fine in itself, but there is no front desk, no on-site staff, and very limited hotel-style amenities. The entrance was confusing — it appears to lead into the bar in the same building. I had to call the owner for directions. Parking instructions were also unclear (left side vs. right side), and the note about parking spaces “1–16” required additional clarification. The route from parking to the room is long and maze-like, with no elevator — only stairs. This is very inconvenient, especially in winter or when traveling with multiple pieces of luggage. Inside the room, there were no standard amenities (no toothbrush, soap, etc.), and towels were limited. The bedding was disappointing — there were hairs on the sheets and stains on the blanket. Although the room is listed as non-smoking, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke and weed coming from the neighboring room. The most frustrating issue was the parking exit system. The parking card reader and payment machine did not function properly, and there was no intercom for assistance. I spent around 15 minutes trying to exit, and another guest was experiencing the same problem. This caused me to be almost one hour late for an important meeting.
The vibe, the price, and the service were excellent! Would absolutely recommend and will come back!
You should consider updating your business hours! We drove over for lunch today and despite your Google business hours saying you are open the pub is closed January 1-15. That’s something you should post to your business page!! This is the second time this has happened. Your opening hours should be consistent and not confusing, but they are unpredictable despite our best efforts. Do better.
