Very nice Lebanese fusion cuisine ! Ordered most of the food including the full desserts ! Nice taste and the Chef is really great in the preparation - a must visit restaurant for the ones who love the Mediterranean cuisine A ne pas rater: the ice cream at the end 😉

Incredible food, we didn’t wait at all for a table either. Some of the most well seasoned and tender lamb I’ve had in a long time. The exterior seating was cozy and had a great view of the road and greenery
Food is amazing. The only thing is that the music is too loud for me inside or outside of restaurant..
🍽️ Food & Atmosphere The food is genuinely good and the atmosphere justifies the price point — so credit where it's due. If you're looking for a nice dining environment in Old Montreal, the setting delivers. 😟 The Incident The POS terminal made opting out of tips unnecessarily difficult — a deliberate design choice, not an accident. We chose not to tip. What followed was surprising: the server returned to our table, asked if everything was good, we said yes, and she then directly asked why we left no tip — while we still had food on the table and our child hadn't finished eating. 💭 The Bigger Picture That moment revealed something important. Good service should be unconditional. The moment it becomes a negotiation at the table, you realize the warmth was transactional all along. Manners are either genuine or they're for sale — they can't be both. 💸 On Pricing & Economy In the current economic climate — with inflation, rising costs, and financial pressure on every family — restaurants charging premium prices should be grateful for every customer who walks through the door. The answer to server wages is not guilt-tripping customers at the table. Pay your staff properly. Price your service honestly. Don't outsource your labor costs onto customers and then follow up when they decline. 🚫 Final Verdict We won't be returning. Not because the food failed us, but because the experience showed us who they are when the tip doesn't come. Manners are priceless — the moment you put a price on them, you've lost them entirely.
I genuinely don’t even know where to start because this was probably one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in montreal, and I’ve been to a LOT of restaurants. First of all, the service was absolutely incredible !! Lina, our waitress, is genuinely one of the sweetest people ever ; she made us feel so welcomed and taken care of from beginning to end. You can tell she truly cares about the clients and it honestly made the whole experience even more special !! Gabi, the chef, is just amazing ; not only is the food exceptional, fresh, flavorful, and honestly unforgettable, but the way he treats people says everything about the kind of person he is. He’s so generous, attentive, and passionate about what he does ; he makes sure every single person is having the best experience possible. You can genuinely feel the love and care behind everything ! I seriously have zero complaints. The food, the atmosphere, the service, everything was perfect. This place deserves all the success in the world 🤍
Beautiful place and good food
Hayat was so incredibly delicious! They were so helpful and accommodating when we had a few restrictions/allergies in our group. They also reduced the amount of spice for our child's order. To top it all off, Chef Gabriel treated our child with a delicious ice cream! One of, if the best, meals we had on our trip :) Couldn't recommend them enough.
I LOVED the fried eggplant shakshouka! And the baklava pancakes were excellent!
Amazing place and food 👌🏻
Excellent food inspired by syrian and lebanese, also is halal as well so it caters to a much larger crowd. Everything from their dips to their lamb shawarma was super good. Even their chef’s omelette brunch item was great! So highly recommend it to anyone coming to visit montreal.
This place is just a knockout. I've been twice now and it just keeps getting better. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants ever. The food is exquisite, the drinks are gorgeous and well made, and the service is some of the best I've had not just in Montreal but worldwide. Our waiter told us these are family recipes and you can just feel that love in the food. Our drinks were never empty and our server checked in on us enough so that we never were waiting to order something else but not so much that it was intrusive. Everyone was just so friendly, warm, and genuine. It really made us feel so comfortable. When I asked him about the espresso martini he told me there was a new recipe that was being released next week which is better and was able to let me order than even though it wasn't on the menu and it was fantastic. The ambience is top tier, the place is gorgeous. The nice soaps and towels in the bathroom are a luxurious touch.
Hayat offers a five-star experience that immerses you in the Lebanese and Syrian food scene with true class. We visited for Mother's Day, and the service was impeccable quick, attentive, and always with a smile. The food was incredibly tasty, featuring a modern twist on traditional dishes from the region. If you go, the Baklava pancake is an absolute must-try. The restaurant is spotless and beautifully decorated; just a heads-up that parking can be tricky in the area, so it’s best to arrive a bit early.
Love this place!! Great vibes and food
The food was absolutely amazing and so was the staff. Loved it !!!! The atmosphere and vibe was phenomenal, maybe just slightly lower music but still overall great !!!
Food was fine but overpriced for what it is , no vibe …
Everything was amazing , the best place everrrrre The guyyy who served us was ++++++++++++++
Great experience with both the food and the ambiance. Everything was on point from start to finish. A special thank you to Shawn Galego for the outstanding hospitality!
Had an amazing time at Hayat. Food and drinks were amazing, service was great. Shawn the Manager really took care of us
The food is overpriced for no reason! The first time I visited this place the chicken shish taok qty was decent enough to fill up my stomach! Priced at 36 plus tax I asked the waitress for what else I can order as I was very hungry and we were two people- she asked me to order the most expensive item on the menu that was the fish with no Mediterranean flavor and not even enough potion quantity to fill anyone up. The fish is priced at 43 dollars and if you calculate taxes in it its 50 dollars. I spent over 100 dollars at this place feeling super hungry I will never ever go again. Save yourself the horror. The worst part is the waiter stands on your head to pay the tip Horrible
