If you’re looking for a great steak, you’ve come to the right spot! The food is absolutely delicious. I traveled from Toronto, and my expectations for food were quite high, but this restaurant exceeded them by a landslide.

Amazing halal spot in Montreal! This was honestly some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The servers were wonderful, friendly, and welcoming, and the prices were great too. Everything was awesome from start to finish. Definitely a must-stop halal restaurant in Montreal!

Update. December 31, 2025. Grillades Amira opens in LaSalle, Québec, inviting everyone to reserve a table and join them for their very first dinner service. Hayder, my friend at @grillades.amira, prepared my meal, spoke with me about my day, and I left happy. Sometimes hospitality is not only about food — it is about being welcomed with sincerity. Dinner was beautiful. Perfectly marinated chicken served with fresh vegetables and homemade touches everywhere. The chicken was tender, deeply seasoned, and wonderfully flavorful. Period. The salad was crisp and fresh, paired with a beautiful homemade dressing and sauce. The potatoes, carrots, and zucchini arrived hot, buttery, fresh, and absolutely delicious. A warm beginning for what feels like a place made with heart.

We ordered the platter number 3 which was phenomenal, a fine foodie should never miss the chance of having the best platter ever made. Yet, the service was terrible, terrible in the sense that if you understand their local language, they were not only cursing you for your appearance or appetite but also they were literally shouting each other making fun of the customer related to racial discrimination. I hope they find my review and try to make the staff more respectful towards the customers.

What a great surprise. A small and delicious gem. I got a huge bowl of merguez, rice, potatoes,hummus and veggies with a soda for $32 and I couldn't finish it. The portions are huge, perfectly cooked and delicious. The little down side is that the place is very tiny and noisy as the waiters speak very loud and the kitchen is right there however I would definitely go again or perhaps order to go.

I had been in town for a few nights and was disappointed by the food and restaurants I had come across, so naturally, when I pulled up to this place, I had second thoughts. The hanging plastic by the door serving as a weather barrier, along with the abandoned-looking storefront next door, did not exactly inspire confidence. Still, I decided to give it a chance and walked through the door. My heart sank a little more when I first entered, as the space was filled with smoke from the cooking and grilling. It was not unpleasant, but it was definitely noticeable at first. That final bit of courage to sit down made all the difference. The food was absolutely delicious, packed with amazing flavor, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Truly amazing food. It is definitely a gem in the desert.

This is the worst culinary experience I had since a long time ago. We waited more than 45 minutes for our order despite the restaurant was not crowded at all. The worst it that when the steak I ordered was delivered it was cold and the salad that comes with it was just lettus nothing more. My wife ordered grilled octopus and she got a very tiny portion. To add to worst service, I asked the waiter to replace the rice by fries which he did but when I paid the bill I found 1.5$ extra for the replacement without any prior notice. I decided to pay and never come back to this restaurant.

The OG spot for some amazing food. They've recently changed to hand slaughtered chicken for everything except the Chicken shawarma. In Sha Allah they remain hand slaughtered and we can continue to enjoy this amazing cuisine.
