I visited Kababgy today with my wife, mother-in-law, and two kids — first time for me — and I can honestly say it was the best shawarma experience I've had in the entire Montreal and Laval area. We ordered 3 chicken shawarma plates with Fanta pineapple drinks. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. But what really stood out were the garlic potatoes — made fresh, seasoned with great spices and a delicious sauce. You could literally smell the smoke from the fire grill, and that aroma alone tells you this is the real deal. The portions are generous — more than enough to satisfy a big eater. What made the experience truly special was the owner. He was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. At the end of our meal, he surprised us with homemade mint tea — green tea with fresh mint — completely on the house. That kind of hospitality is rare and it left a lasting impression on our whole family. For me, Kababgy is hands down the best street food-style restaurant in all of Espace Montmorency. I'm already planning my next visit to try their grilled meat platters. If you're looking for outstanding food with a generous soul behind the counter, don't walk — run to Kababgy.
