Best Montreal spot for a poutine and a casse croute. Highly recommend the big green hot dog, super flavourful and that special sauce is amazing! Highly recommend the chop chop poutine too. Big plate with a friendly price! Lived my whole life in Montreal and never got to try it, and i can say, i will proudly come back ! Ambience feels cozy and nostalgic, never change it!

You know what you want and you're gonna get it here. It's classic, it hits the spot. Service can be hit or miss but just relax, enjoy the vibe and some top-tier casse croute grub.
This is such an amazing place! I have been here 3-4 times in the past year and had a good experience everytime. It is a classic diner. Reminds me of New York. Very cozy, home-like feeling. The food and service is great. They also have some off-menu items but you have to ask. From the menu, every egg based item is great. The pancakes are also soft and fluffy. Every time I try something new and enjoy it. I have only come here for breakfast or brunch. Never lunch or dinner so I have no idea what that is like. The only small negative is that they do not take a reservation. So the wait time can sometimes be more than 15 minutes.
Not as pretentious as I expected, considering the spot’s great big reputation!! Definitely worth doing for weekday brunch to beat the crowds if you can. I had the lève-tard breakfast and it was exactly what i needed.
Tried the Avalanche and Bonheur d’occasion poutines, both were very tasty with generous portions and rich gravy. Really nice, friendly service too.
It was my first night on my first-ever trip to Montreal (back in November 2025), and a friend of mine back home (who is Montreal born and raised) highly recommended that I should go here for a bite to eat. After getting checked into my hotel room earlier in the evening, I decided to make this my first stop. After my server led me to a table by the TV, I ordered the St-Henri poutine and an orange pop. The food was served quicker than I expected (which is not a bad thing) and I then proceeded to do what many Montrealers must have done over many decades while in here, enjoy my poutine while watching the Montreal Canadiens on TV.... 😊😁 The food was fantastic, and Erin the server's attentiveness was great too. All in all, a very enjoyable experience on my first night in Montreal!
The best diner in Montreal by far. Classic 👌🏻
Favourite poutine spot in MTL.
This is a great quick and cheap spot to have some nice comfort food and enjoy an authentic dinner experience. The service was quick and friendly and the menu has a huge variety of options.
Great sub worth the price, Ate half and was full!
Best poutine hands down in Montreal!!! I have come here the entirety of my studies for a hearty meal after long hours at the library, and they never disappoint. The preparation is quick, the meal is warm and delicious, and they don’t hesitate to go heavy on the cheese and the sauce. I particularly like the Bonheur D’Occasion, it is my favorite by far. I highly recommend for those who want a twist on the classic but do not eat meat! Lovely people, lovely food, lovely place. Great for a dinner between friends or family to warm up from the winter.
All of the foods were good. My family really like here.
