Our first time at Gino’s and very pleased. The vibe is beyond laid back with the feeling of not being rushed with our meal. As for the meal itself probably the best lasagna we have had. The mixed grill plate was an abundant mix of shrimp, calamari and zucchini with a tasty aïoli sauce. Food paired well with Negronis. Top notch service by Thalia. Highly recommended for date night or just any night. A simple menu with emphasis on good quality food and drinks in a cool vibe and with exceptional service!

You come here for Lasagna, just do it. I was lost as to what have for our dinner while in Montreal and being a huge lasagna fan, I was drawn to the prospect of Gino’s. I’m a homemade lasagna snob, so going to a restaurant that specializes in lasagna, I had very high expectations. I can say, Gino’s made an impression on me. To start, the vibe is very “come here if you like negronis”, and the customer service was great even with us not having a reservation at the time. We got recommendations for our order and we ended up ordering the Tonno Affumicato as an app, and the Gino and Alla Norma for our mains. The bread served is decent, and the balsamic accompanying it was very tasty. But we actually weren’t a fan of the Tonno Affumicato as much, it may just be the style of dish or combination of flavours, but we do wish we tried something else. As for the lasagnas, the quality is there. I make a good lasagna at home, so I often don’t order it outside unless really craving it which I usually get disappointed. The lasagna at Gino’s is something I can remember vividly eating, and hope to try it again. The Gino had a pleasantly sweet and tangy red sauce, moist and soft ground meat, and a great overall bite. But, the Alla Norma is what I think you need to come here for. An absolutely delicious vegetarian slice of lasagna that offers a perfect combination of ingredients in an eggplant based lasagna. If you’re looking for a nice spot for a date-night dinner, and you’re craving pasta in Montreal. I think you should try Gino’s!

The place solves the problem with "what am I going to order?" quite directly, and does it exceptionally well. I had a vegetarian lasagna, my wife had a meat one, and they were both flavourful and light.

Gino’s is definitely a must-visit spot in Montreal! The atmosphere is cosy, you feel right at home, and the service is spot on! The cocktails and Negronis are excellent (a special mention to Joelle, who’s a ray of sunshine behind the bar). The food is fresh and original! In short everything is perfect, I can’t wait to go back for the fifth times!

Gino’s is the best place to enjoy lasagna and drinks in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Since it opened, it has been our favorite restaurant in Montreal. The team always makes every visit pleasant and friendly, especially during our last visit for a small family birthday gathering. It can also be kid-friendly in the evening, depending on the child.

I really love this place for the vibes, the lasagna and beverage options. Having a limited menu and know a few varieties of lasagna, you know it will be good. The Gino’s lasagna is delicious! The waitress was also really nice and charged my phone for me 😬

I hosted a corporate dinner at Gino’s last month and had a great experience! The lasagna is delicious and tastes like your grandmother’s family recipe. We tried three appetizers (focaccia, beef tartar, calamari) and all were great. I had issues with getting reimbursed by my company and the management at Gino’s was incredibly helpful, great customer service!

Great vibe. I've had better, but Lasagna was great. The bread (focaccia ?) was divine. Best I've had by a landslide. Drinks were not our style. We ordered 6 of them and were pretty underwhelmed. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. Our waitress, whom we believe was named Talia, appeared to consistently overlook our table while attending to others around us. We experienced an unusually long wait time of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes just to receive our drinks and appetizers. As both of us work in the service industry, we understand how demanding and fast-paced restaurant environments can be. We also want to emphasize that we would not have minded the wait as much if other tables around us had been experiencing similar delays. However, it seemed that surrounding tables were being attended to in a timely manner, which made the situation particularly frustrating. The level of inattention and lack of communication we experienced felt excessive and discourteous. We had initially planned to stay for a full-course meal, but due to the situation, we ultimately decided to leave early.
