Looks like a nostalgic place. The Julep was good. Food was ok.
What guests say about Gibeau Orange Julep
Gibeau Orange Julep is often described as an iconic Montreal stop with a retro vibe and a very recognizable giant orange. The orange juice and poutine receive a lot of praise, but many find the overall experience too sweet or inconsistent from visit to visit. Prices are often mentioned as a downside, and some also note that service or dining space can sometimes be limited. It is mainly a place to try for the experience and the juice rather than for an affordable meal.

Delicious chili dog (Michigan dog). The poutine was very good and the orange julep was sweet and creamy!
I guess just an iconic place in the city. the food is very average and the famous juice is underwhelming. I was very disappointed by the food and juice . But the service was good. And i guess it's a nice place to hangout with friends if you just want to stay out in the parking lot .
Delicious and iconic. Definitely go!
Juice was just amazing. Specifically, we just had the plain orange juice and we all had an amazing time. Parking is available and this place is must and should if you are in Montreal. Have fun guys!
Good drinks, over price for orange juice mix with vanilla...
Worst experience, they serve burnt fries & its just the hype about juice, in actual that is not less than a paint thinner 👎🏻
Smash🍔 was amazing
Stopped by Orange Julep on Decarie and it was the best. Finished it to the last drop. Yum.
Thriving on its reputation. Hideously overpriced food. No longer worth the trip. Ordered a steamy with no relish. It arrived with relish. Brought it back to the counter, and watched the cook. Use the counter rag to wipe off the condiments from the hot dog and attempt to put it back in the bun and redress it. I asked for a refund after my stomach churned. Please give me another reason not to go back.
What, you’re not going to go to the giant orange ball on the most terrible boulevard in Montreal ? Of course you will. Sure the flagship product, a frothy orange beverage, will cost you two months salary for a litre but what the hey-ho, it’s only once a year that you have to battle off the seagulls and wasps as they swoop down to steal your fries and your blood.
You can go anytime and any day and it always perfect. Starting with the famous drink with Hotdog, poutine to even there ice cream is amazing
Oh my God, the orange juice was so delicious! 🥤 But the French fries were very bad. Please consider hiring someone who knows how to make them better. But , I really loved the orange juice!❤️
Fav place for their orange drink-very special!!
Must stop in Montreal! Awesome poutine and of course the orange drink, smash burger and hot dog was great too!
It was great!
Gibeau Orange Julep is such a fun and iconic spot in Montréal. The giant orange building is unique and their famous orange drink is definitely worth trying! If you’re visiting Montréal, you should also explore beautiful places like Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal and relax at Beaver Lake on Mount Royal. Also nearby on Jean-Talon, I recommend Tastybits for delicious Indian-Italian style pizza. Great food and a nice stop after exploring the city!
Horrifying prices with quality not matching the tag. I honestly don’t think eating in a orange ball justifying paying for overpriced junk food. I think I remember seeing fairer prices for food in panama’s airport. The service was less than acceptable do NOT go there.
Overatted place. Too sugary
I honestly don't get the hype. I tried twice and was disappointed both time. The orange juice is clearly not for me: way too sweet with a weird aftertaste. The poutine... One one the most underwhelming I have eaten in a while. On my second visit I went with someone who always wanted to try Orange Julep since their childhood: their dream were crushed and it was their first and last time. A very long line and the employees although fast seem unhappy to work there. You eat in the parking near the highway so the atmosphere is meh! Portions: small for the price. Not a tourist trap, but not worth the detour.
We paid 50 $ for 2 meals and it was horrible, the poutine was burnt and smoked and tasted awful. Otherwise orange juice was good.
Best hot dogs in town! 🌭
Iconic and fun spot. Julep orange Juice is veeeerryyyy sweat so to each their preference! Staff was very nice, had a good time ⭐️
i love this place the juice is delicious
One of the most addicting orange juice and poutine but astronomical pricing.
