Just finished a delicious authentic pasta and generous Caesar salad. Giovanni and staff offer wonderful hospitality and delicious food! Giovanni was especially accommodating as he arranged dinner for us even though the restaurant was very busy. Our thanks, appreciation and admiration! Bravo!!!

I usually avoid hotel restaurants as I find them on average not great value. While Geso is certainly at a higher-end price point, the food quality and service lived up to it. I tried the buffala and tomatoes, as well as the filet and the lemon torte. All were excellent, and despite being an Italian restaurant, Chef Giovanni made one of the best medium rare filets I can immediately recall. A great selection of Italian reds. The restaurant manager Giancarlo made every effort to get to know us during our stay and make us feel welcome. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a solid mid-to-higher-end Italian choice in Ville-Marie. Grazie mille!

We had just driven six hours from Toronto and were exhausted and hungry after checking in. Not wanting to head back out, we asked the hotel staff for an honest recommendation for the hotel’s connected restaurant. She told us the chef was from Italy and assured us the food was delicious. We were also advised that the restaurant would be closing soon and encouraged to place our order quickly, so we opted for room service. The food arrived within 15 minutes. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was extremely hard and practically inedible. My partner ordered the penne pasta and added chicken for an additional $18. While the chicken was decent, the pasta sauce was cold and tasted uncooked. After spending $120 on two pasta dishes, we were extremely disappointed. Had we been dining in the restaurant, we would have sent both dishes back. Overall, it was a frustrating experience and a complete waste of money.
