The atmosphère is really warm. The staff are very polite. The service is really quick. We got the pork imperial rolls, pork dumplings, chicken pho and the pork/shrimp rice/vermicelli (we asked for chicken to replace shrimp). Everything was really tasty and fulfilling in terms of portion size. It was a lovely little trip on a holiday.

We visited Gao Restaurant with my family and had a wonderful experience. The place was very clean and welcoming, the staff were friendly, and the service was great. We really enjoyed the food as well. Thank you for such a nice experience—we will definitely be coming back again!

We had a wonderful experience at Gao in Quebec City! The staff and owner were incredibly kind and took the time to share the restaurant’s history, which made our visit feel special. The owner was especially great with our children, even teaching them a fun game of four-square tic-tac-toe - they loved it! The food was delicious and truly authentic Vietnamese cuisine. My kids had the beef pho, my husband had the vermicelli (no picture), and I had the Bo kho with vermicelli noodles 👌 A warm, memorable experience - we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in QC!

It was a busy lunch break, but there was also room inside, so it was no problem. The Pho soup was faithful to the basics, and everything was well-served, including bean sprouts and cilantro. The staff were also very friendly and quick to help.

We are from New Brunswick. This is hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant we have tried so far in Canada. The egg roll and General Tao Chicken are very crispy yet not dry inside with texture which are super delicious. The Beef stew is tender with the right amount of fat which is the perfect taste with the noodles. When we are back for vacation next time, this will be the only Vietnamese restaurant we would come back. Highly recommended

We just stumbled on here as weary travelers but! We were pleasantly surprised by the yummy food. My dad really liked the Mi xa-siu and the pho broth was flavourful. Shout out to our kind server, Ash, who made sure our broths were piping hot on this cold day! This place is great if you’re craving good comfort food with a calm ambience.

We passed by this place couple times but finally decided to go in for some Vietnamese food. The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. As fellow Vietnamese, I’m giving 5/5 stars. The pho broth was flavorful and they use fresh rice noodle. The Vietnamese ice coffee is 💯. Really hit the spot. If I stayed longer, would have come back second time.

We ordered Mi Quang , Pho, and Grilled Pork with rice and it was the most delicious meal I had in days. The food was properly marinade and cooked. The service was friendly. We loved the relaxing atmosphere here. Great restaurant

Had BBQ pho soup, rice paper spring roll, beef BBQ skewers & it was all super flavorless. I've been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants and have never seen a fuchsia coloured piece of meat. The pho broth was watery and didn't taste rich or have any flavour depth. Saw the high reviews and had high hopes but was very disappointed.
