I popped in for lunch at 1pm on a Monday to Fusion AfroCan. My goal was to try a bunch of Cameroonian dishes. I ordered the ndolé with fufu, and the beignets and haricots. The ndolé packed a lot of flavour, and there was some simmered meat which was a surprise. Great texture on the fufu. Of course, the beignets and haricots were excellent. The service was friendly and spoke French, so thank you for tolerating my busted Franglais 🙏 I wouldn't say that the portion sizes were large given the price, but I'll get two meals out of this for sure. With tax it was $50. Merci beaucoup 🇨🇲

First time patron. I bought the medium size Chicken Choukouya. I was rather disappointed. The chicken pieces were mostly bone such as neck or wing parts. The flavor was bland and neutral, small pieces of red and green pepper and onion and no rice or starch component. Kind of pricey for what you get. You have to be careful when chewing as some small bits of bone mixed among the mix. I was left over with a lot of bones at the end (photo). Just not impressed at all.

Today, after visiting Gatineau, we decided to try an African restaurant and came across this spot. We were all excited to give it a try, but unfortunately, the experience was a huge disappointment. The food was cold and, most importantly, did not taste fresh at all. The chicken and meat we were served seemed far from fresh, and the overall quality of the food was extremely poor. 0 taste, O flavor. What a disaster. I honestly have never experienced such bad-quality food at a restaurant. What started with excitement ended up being one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. I would definitely not recommend this place, and I personally would never go back.

This place has potential, just missing a few pieces of the puzzle. Service was okay, didn’t get any cutlery, nor napkins. Portion was okay, a little pricey. The plantains were amazing, the Garba Chicken, was tasty but not the biggest portion of chicken. Also a little dry all around.
