Frites Alors is the place we never miss when we are in Quebec. It has the reputation that they have the best poutine in Quebec. This review is for our last visit, mid-May of 2026. We were a party of four and went there for lunch. They are primarily a poutine place, although they have other things on the menu. We go for the poutines, which are excellent. The poutines they call Regular are huge... When we were there only "La Clasique" was offered in Small. If there's anything I'd like them to change is this: offer all the poutines in small size. The place is quite small, some six tables and five or six bar seats, and a tiny terrace with three tables. It does have a cozy, neighborly kind of feel to it. The service is very good, the guys have a laid back, friendly attitude that we always enjoyed. We spent about 34 CAD (25 USD) per person, tip included, for poutines and beers. I recommend this place without any hesitation!
