Interesting selection of dishes. The waiter described their dishes as ‘sharing plates’ rather like you get in China where multiple dishes are ordered and every diner eats from every dish. There were only two of us so we had to reduce the selection. We had the flatbread which was kind of like, say, an 8” pizza but with very tasty and original toppings. I think this was our favourite. Next we had tortellini stuffed with rabbit and served with a jus reduction from cooking the rabbit, there were 7 pieces. It would have been nicer to have had an even number as there were two of us. Finally we had the trout which was a deep red colour, cooked over wood and served on a bed of mixed vegetables. It was tasty but very small, we had about the size of a ‘fish ginger’ each. For dessert we chose the traditional chomeur pudding which was topped with an interesting combination of fruits and I think cream. We opted for one each of these. Sharing would have been inadequate. I finished with a coffee made the old fashioned way in an Italian coffee pot. I enjoyed what we had, but feel the sharing dishes especially the trout could have been more generous.
