The food was good but basic and not a big menu. The restaurant isn’t well decorated and clean but it isn’t big, so you need a reservation in the evening. And the service was nice.

Loved the vibe and loved the food!!!
I went here with my friends for brunch and we had a good time. The food was good. Lots of sea food options but limited in other areas. We ordered several dishes. It was a bit greasy but I liked the taste. The drinks were great! Serve was very nice and friendly. The staff greeted us, led us to our seats and kept checking on us. I took a picture of our food and shared it below. After our meal it took a while to get the bill so that wait was a bit annoying.
The service was disappointing. We had just finished eating when they immediately took our plates away. The waitress seemed very eager for us to leave she brought the bill right away because we didn’t order dessert. She looked upset the entire time and never smiled, even though we treated her with a lot of respect and kindness. The menu we were expecting wasn’t available, and they didn’t have the dessert that was mentioned on TikTok. Overall, the food quality was very average.
(UPDATE: January 2026) Foiegwa used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but unfortunately the drop in quality has become increasingly noticeable. I went to Foiegwa several times in 2025 and had consistently good experiences. The space is charming and beautiful, and the service is usually above average (and yes, the staff is undeniably good-looking — keep that part going). In early January, I went for brunch and was surprised by what seemed like a reduced portion. My eggs benedict arrived with only one egg on the bread. I pointed this out to the server, since the menu clearly says “eggs,” not “egg,” and everyone else at the table received two. An extra poached egg was brought to me — which I appreciated — but the situation still left me uncomfortable. For dessert, I ordered pancakes, which were burnt in my opinion. I’ve attached a photo so you can judge for yourselves. A few days later, I came back for dinner and, unfortunately, didn’t know that the late-night menu previously offered at $25.99 was no longer available. The food itself was good, but after these two experiences, I no longer feel that the value for money is as strong as it used to be. (PREVIOUS REVIEW) Excellent food, portion size, environment and staff. There’s no “bad choice” in their menu, everything seems to be delicious, I’ve been there 4 times and every single experience I had was good.
Cozy and stylish place to dine in. Foiegwa was recommended by a few of my close friends who had great things to say about the menu items. A few of us chose la table d’hôte which is great for those who come here for the first time and would like to taste a bit of everything, while I ordered the homemade truffle spaghetti with oysters on the side. The oysters were slightly too salty in my opinion. The pasta was impeccable and we had to make sure everyone tried it!! We also ordered their cocktails, the Mariposa (the drink on the left) was delightful 🍝🪴
Perfect night for my sister’s birthday, thank you so much. We’ll definitely come back xx
The brunch at Foie Gras was a real disappointment. I found it very average, with low-quality ingredients and flavors that were simply not there. The taste was lacking overall and did not meet expectations for a brunch experience. On the positive side, their pasta dishes and the burger are actually quite decent and much better than the brunch. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for how underwhelming the brunch was.
My husband and I stumbled upon Foiegwa while researching breakfast places in Montreal, and we’re so glad we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 10:00 AM on a Sunday, and the restaurant was about half full, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. After looking through the menu, my husband ordered the smoked duck Benedict, while I chose “Le Foiegwa Slam”, paired with a freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. Let me tell you, the pancake was spectacular. Perfectly fluffy, rich in flavor, and absolutely delicious. It was hands down one of the best pancakes I’ve had in a long time. The entire plate was well-balanced. My husband also really enjoyed his smoked duck Benedict, which was flavorful and well executed. Honestly, this meal alone felt worth the visit to Montreal. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a breakfast or brunch experience.
The food, the wine and mostly Sarah our waitress were amazing, don’t sleep on spaghetti you might regret it. First time, been waiting for a while to go and honestly my wife was happy, so was I. Thank you for the experience
Great food, beautiful ambiance and friendly staff. Price is very good for brunch and very delicious dishes!
felt so sick eating here for the first time had to spaghetti w the raw egg and devilled eggs it might of but them. the eggs were also cold like straight of the fridge cold. felt like i was dying genuinely right after eating. wish i got my money back.
A must if you are in Montreal , the foie mousse it’s amazing. I hope we can go back someday
Hip, delicious, and amazing service. The food was incredible. We love Chloe! Highly recommend. The burger, fries, and all cocktails are top shelf.
Made reservations for New Years Day dinner. Ordered the French onion soup to start, which was delicious. Ordered the duck special of the day and the three course meal deal for $35 which included an appetizer (we got the eggs) plate (the truffle pasta) and desert (the chocolate mousse). Everything was delicious. The foie gras was delicious. Our drinks were delicious too, though on the smaller side and a bit expensive compared to where else we’ve gone in Montreal. We left and agreed this is one of the best meals we’ve each had. The place is very small so I recommend a reservation.
Visiting Montreal and out of over 10 restaurants that we went to, Foiegwa was our favorite! The food was delicious and the service was quick. Our waitresses were helpful and so kind! We absolutely loved it and would definitely go back.
