We had the most amazing authentic experience here. We have eaten Mexican food in the states and in Mexico and by far the best margaritas and baja tacos my goodness. Atmosphere is amazing it was always packed when we walked by so we just walked in and it has been our favourite spot in Montreal for a meal. Service was wonderful and quick and food was amazing

Excellent authentic food! We’ve traveled the world and this is one of the best Mexican restaurants we’ve been. Tacos and margaritas were outstanding! The service was excellent as well.

I’ve been going to many locations of Escondite for many years. In the last two years the food quality has gotten horrible. First it was the Monkland one. It closed down. Now the old port restaurant on Saint Paul is terrible. The pastor was like cat food. The New El Paso dish was so bad I couldn’t finish it. This is the third time over the last few years at that location that the food has been horrible. I’m done. Never going back

Stopped at this taco place on my visit from Vancouver. As a Mexican I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor. Server was very friendly also. Go there and enjoy some good Latin music and tasty Mexican/fusion food.

Highly recommend the cocktails and tosadas :) nice music that still allows you to talk, inviting vibe, made me miss Mexico, Amazing authentic place to eat <3

I travelled from Australia and this is the first place I ate at in Montreal and will definitely be back. The margarita was so good! And the tuna tostada was unreal, really fresh. The service was awesome and everyone was so welcoming and friendly!

Amazing drinks and great tacos. Keep in mind these are tacos the size you get in Mexico 4” which is authentic. You will need to order two types for a meal.

Food was good, albeit small. But god damn does the service need improvement. Restaurant was halfway empty, and out of a table of 4, 1 got their meal 5 minutes before the other ones. We waited 23 minutes (timed it) for 2 tacos. unacceptable. Cherry on the Sundae, there was a bachelor party with 4 girls inside the restaurant, and they were yelling with a megaphone like it was Coachella.

I went today for dinner and I have to say the tacos are not tacos but mini tacos, we have to different orders but received in only one plate ( I did not like it because was supposed to be 2 person 2 plates, when I saw the tacos and the birria soup for me was like a free testing presentation 🙁, and we never got the drink we asked for. Did not like it to be honest, not recommended.
