Music was loud, mango salad was hard as nails, guacamole came with cold chips and overall the expectations did not live up to the hype. Escondite experience plater for 2 was $30 more than advertised since we went on a Sunday. Family next to us were extremely rude and hostile towards each other. Felt like a sitcom. Below average experience.

Arrived there last night a few minutes before our reservation and this family in front of us with no reservations got seated immediately. We on the other hand, had to step aside and wait 15 for our table. Clearly the owner of this place or manager has some explaining to do to its customers.

Visited this restaurant on a mid July beautiful evening. This place is a really fun restaurant! The food is great and the ambiance is very festive. My only negative point is that all the windows and doors were opened on a beautiful warm evening but all the cigarette smoke came in instead of nice fresh air. For some reason people were smoking on the terrace and it came into the restaurant in so much that it was bothersome to the none smoker. That’s the only reason I gave the atmosphere 2 stars!

The food was good . I ordered cod tacos. It was good , the slaw was missing a lil flavor, a lil spice but it was ok. The guac was good , but too small for the price. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my lunch.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Escondite Repentigny.. easily a 5/5! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. From the tacos to the quesadillas and even the crispy chicken with fries, everything felt fresh, vibrant, and made with care. The balance of textures and bold seasoning really stood out. The cocktails deserve their own spotlight: the Mojito Del King was refreshing and perfectly balanced, while the Aperol Margarita brought a bright, citrusy twist that paired amazingly with the food. And I have to mention the churros: golden, crispy, coated in just the right amount of sugar, and served with a rich Nutella dip that made them completely irresistible. A perfect sweet finale. What truly elevated the whole experience was the service: friendly, attentive, and genuinely professional. You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a lively atmosphere, great food, and standout cocktails. I’ll definitely be back!

A little on the expensive side, especially since each dish doesn’t come with a side—you have to pay for everything separately. That said, the food is very good overall. I just wish they offered complimentary chips and salsa while you wait, instead of charging for it. It’s the first Mexican restaurant I’ve been to where chips and salsa aren’t provided while waiting.
