Stellar taco and service ! Seriously that mole filling might have been the best thing I've ever eaten, in Montreal, with the beef+nopal a close second. Amazing drinks as well, and really have to give props to the servers. Trilingual and very friendly !

In Montreal for a few days and I ate here twice, that's saying something. I love the aesthetic--rustic and laidback, it reminds me of the restaurants in Mexico city. Authentic quality of the food-- I first ordered tacos for take away, and I went back the following day to try more items because they were good. It reminds me of Contramar (a popular restaurant in CDMX). If you want authentic Mexican food, then this is a must try. Lastly, the place can get busy, but the servers always approached me with a smile and I appreciate that. I don't know when I'll visit Montreal again, but I'd love to eat here again.

The food was very good, staff were perfect (welcoming, flexible, attentive, nice to chat). I sat at the top floor which has less cachet than the bottom one.

The food, drinks and everything about the whole experience was so amazing that I have contemplated packing up my whole life to move to Montreal. 10/10 will recommend to everyone I know travelling here!

Never disappointing. Brought a few coworkers here for lunch. We all agreed, the food is delicious,and the service was great. Always a sure beer! Their chicken wings are a 10!

I was downtown for a concert on Saturday and was looking for a place to eat. I found this restaurant on Google, called ahead, and asked if they could seat me in 10 minutes. They said yes, so I headed over. When I arrived, I reminded them that I had called, and they confirmed they had a table for me. I was seated, went to wash my hands, and then returned to the table ready to order since we were on a tight schedule before the concert. Unfortunately, from the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we were completely ignored. We waited over 20 minutes. No one came to greet us, offer water, take a drink order, or ask if we were ready to order food. We had menus in front of us and were clearly ready, but not a single staff member acknowledged us. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. There were plenty of open tables, so there was no obvious reason for the lack of service. Given our time constraints, we had no choice but to leave and go elsewhere. The next restaurant seated and served us quickly without issue. Very disappointing experience.

Nowhere during the reservation process it asked for children places. We were turned away for having two children at 5 in the afternoon. The restaurant was empty as well. Do better.

Super cozy and nice space where to host a 5 a 7 or a dinner. They have non alcoholic drinks, but also vegetarian options for the tacos.

Stopped at Escondite for dinner before going to a Habs game. The service was quick and very friendly. The foods and drinks were very good. Nice atmosphere with Latin music.

We went to Escondite Drummond with coworkers and had a really fun night. Great Latin music and a lively vibe, plus the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food is Mexican-inspired and overall decent, but not the most authentic Mexican in Montreal. Prices felt a bit on the higher side, but it’s a solid spot for drinks, atmosphere, and a group outing.

Always great food and drinks. Highly recommend the spicy mango salad or guac as a starter. The Alambre tacos with the creamy salsa verde are delicious!
