Had cheese and shrimps tacos, shared tortillas with guac and some churros. Really not impressed by the food. There was no cheese on the tacos, the guacamole lacked flavor and churros were a bit raw in the middle. Service is good and the ambience is fantastic

Discovered this place based on reviews on Google only…it’s worth the stop, this place is fantastic. The El General Chapo was a hit, and the lamb birria taco was perfectly done. Travelling through Montreal for our first time wver and the food here was awesome. Service was great, we had our 2 kidw with us (9 &7) and our server (also the manager, joanan?) was awesome. No photos because we ate it too quickly!

DELICIOUS food! My friend and I split a few orders of tacos, all of which were delicious, but we were especially blown away by the cauliflower tacos! Loved the atmosphere & vibe of the place, and our server was so helpful & friendly 😊. Would definitely recommend and come again!

We had a wonderful time last night. Yona, who served us, was stellar and his recommendation, attention and conversation definitely made our night. It was an absolutely delight to dine and have some drink there. Food was amazing but Yona killed it for us !

We were looking for tasty Mexican and came across Escondite. We reviewed the menu before going and couldn’t wait to go. Seating was quick and easy when we got there. The atmosphere was perfect for a nice quiet dinner. The manager, Yona, was accommodating, attentive and helpful. Recommendations were offered when asked, but not pushed on us. We had the Ensalada de Mangos, E’steak Koreano & Nepal, and the Tacos Birria, and two Patron Margaritas. Our meal was excellent. I would highly recommend Escondite Union to anyone visiting downtown Montréal. Thanks for a great meal.

we went for dinner on a friday night, our order was 4 items, and 3 items came wrong, on top we had to wait around 25 min for someone to take the order the first time and when we got it wrong we had to wait again for it to be re-done, we did not see the server other than taking the order and coming back with the wrong one, and after that a different person came with the right items, no one even checked if we needed water or napkins or anything else, the place was very dark, just some really low light that made everything difficult to see and eat properly, overall it was a bad experience ! We have been to other Escondite and it was 100 times better !

Ordering beer is a scam, charging for $23 for 2 regular size pint stating it as XX. No sauces with the tacos as an authentic Mexican dish…it’s such a rip off. Won’t go again. Food was overrated. Not recommended at all.

Absolutely outstanding!! We came here for brunch. The waitresses were so kind and always cheerful with a smile on their face , ready whenever for your food delight!, delivery. I had the Tinga Tostadas! So sour and spicy and fresh with so much flavour,, I was in heaven!!!!! I would recommend. I also loved the physical atmosphere of the place, the Mexican culture style ! Wow Escondite-

Had a great experience being served by Yona 😊 He seemed to know my needs and offer good recommendations at the perfect timings. As a person who is also in the service industry I am very impressed. I keep coming back here for the consistently great food, but this time the service was also one of the best I received as a solo diner in a restaurant. Thank you!

The sexy KiKe served us, and was absolutely fantastic!!! The staff here are amazing. They take such good care of you, and the food and cocktails are the best! Without a doubt the best tacos I’ve ever had.

Sexy Yona looked after us so well. Highly recommend the tuna tostada and the steak tacos. The cocktails were top notch. If i didn’t have to go back to australia, I’d be a regular.
