Absolutely outstanding!! We came here for brunch. The waitresses were so kind and always cheerful with a smile on their face , ready whenever for your food delight!, delivery. I had the Tinga Tostadas! So sour and spicy and fresh with so much flavour,, I was in heaven!!!!! I would recommend. I also loved the physical atmosphere of the place, the Mexican culture style ! Escondite restaurant on Union in Montreal always impresses! The delicious and creative menu, the outstanding customer service, and the fun atmosphere makes this my go to place in Montreal. Thanks for always making me feel at home, whether I’m with my family or with guests!

Had a great experience being served by Yona 😊 He seemed to know my needs and offer good recommendations at the perfect timings. As a person who is also in the service industry I am very impressed. I keep coming back here for the consistently great food, but this time the service was also one of the best I received as a solo diner in a restaurant. Thank you!

The sexy KiKe served us, and was absolutely fantastic!!! The staff here are amazing. They take such good care of you, and the food and cocktails are the best! Without a doubt the best tacos I’ve ever had.

Sexy Yona looked after us so well. Highly recommend the tuna tostada and the steak tacos. The cocktails were top notch. If i didn’t have to go back to australia, I’d be a regular.

Here is my honest review as a mexican, I WOULD NEVER GO BACK to this place again, i paid $20 for the shittiest quesadilla of all times, first cheddar on a quesadilla and sour cream with no salsa? It had mini invisible pieces of mushrooms and no filling inside, i felt robbed. Then we ordered a guacamole which thats just smashed avocado not a guac not good falvour, the tacos the tortilla was even breaking apart, the green salsa who taught you to do salsa youtube? Omg, please be honest when giving a rate. Have to say the service was horrible. So over rated restaurant. Dont bother find a better one with better prices, not just decoration.

This was a perfect meal, not one we particularly expected. It was just a block from our hotel, so we said why not? Turned out that it offered the best, most imaginative tacos we’ve had lately, a great cocktail program, and personable, efficient service. Darling, our server and apparently a manager, could not have been more delightful. Did I mention the best guacamole we’ve had, maybe ever?

Our new favourite Mexican restaurant! We went for dinner last night for the first time. Everything was terrific - the décor, lovely menu, delicious guacamole, cauliflower tacos, cornbread (!!) and the service! Thank you SO much for a wonderful experience all around. We can't wait to go back.

We loved our visit here and are so glad that we found this place while visiting Montreal. There were three of us and we decided to try the tasting experience while sitting at the bar. The bartender explained to us what it was, took in account our food allergies, and provided us with an amazing experience in some amazing food options and drinks. The staff were so friendly and really made our experience wonderful. Thank you!

Guacamole, Fuego margarita, birria tacos, churros and key lime pie. All were fantastic. Service was great, they didn't rush us. Decor was very good too, as well as prices for the quality. Hoping to return soon.

My boyfriend and I came for dinner last night and had an amazing experience! The food was delicious with great presentation, and our server was great. I wish I could remember his name! We will definitely be back someday.

I tried to bring my parents who were visiting from out of town here a couple of days ago for lunch, a Monday in February. After waiting maybe 10 minutes it was about 12:45 which I assumed meant the lunch rush was dying down. There were some empty tables and three seats at the bar. Eventually the maitre d came over and asked if we had a reservation. I didn't, it being lunchtime on a Monday. He immediately said they couldn't help me and walked away. I was shocked given the empty tables and spots at the bar. We had gone to a much fancier restaurant the night before without a reservation and had been offered bar seats which we gladly accepted. If he had even been nicer about it I wouldn't have felt the need to write this negative review. My family always stay at a hotel around the corner from here but we'll never go back.

Great Apps, basic tacos were mid. The Carnitas was the best, the Baha fish was the worst (we didn't finish it). Should have probably tried the more unconventional tacos on the menu.

the staff here were incredibly helpful and kind, the food was amazing as well! the only thing was that they closed earlier than their posted time which was a bit strange, but even with that we didn’t feel rushed and had an amazing meal. would absolutely recommend
