Everything was divine from the ambiance to the music to the lovely waitress/restaurant owner who happily explained every menu item to me in thorough detail. These people take great passion in their business and that part of Gatineau is very lucky to have such a lovely establishment on one of their most main streets.

I came here craving Colombian food and was so happy to find a menu that felt like home. We ordered the tilapia, churrasco, and chicharrón, and everything was absolutely delicious. The tilapia was perfectly cooked, the churrasco was juicy and full of flavor, and the chicharrón was crispy and exactly how it should be. Every dish tasted fresh and well made. The portions were generous, and the experience was warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m craving comforting Latin food.

Super delicious Dominican food, love the Bandera platter with chicharrón (fried pork). Our favourite place to go for family lunch, as it is kid friendly, lovely environment and friendly staff! Thank you!

Good food, I order the chicharrón and the size of it was a meal of is own for an appetizer I was impress compare to other place that offer a small size. I also ordered the Bandera Dominicana beef plate and it was pretty good the beef was excellent. I was so full I could not finish the plantain lol. I recommend El Meson Dominicano for anybody that want to try Dominican style food.

From the first time I ordered from this restaurant, I fell in love with the food. It's always fresh and delicious, perfectly seasoned. My favorite dish is the Dominican flag with fried pork).. I highly recommend trying it—it's well worth it. And the customer service is excellent, which is a huge plus. I would definitely order from this restaurant again.

Absolutely incredible, everything was hot fresh and delicious. Great apps, great drinks and great food. Plantains were super good, the Morir Soñando was so amazing and all the meat was so flavourful. Definitely come here.

A really sweet family-run spot for Caribbean food - fish ceviche, crumbed calamari, and the meat-fest for one: delicious, especially the chicken! Salsa (I think?) playing in the background; very delightful hostess. Give it a try! No beer etc but the orange and milk drink and the passion fruit juice were great too!
