Nice satisfying meal we had. We got the fajitas, with a pina colada and a daquiri! The cocktails were really good, not cheap on the alcohol!!Will be returning!!

I had a disappointing experience at El Meson. I personally did not leave a tip because I am a student and I honestly do not make enough money, but the rest of my family members all tipped. The waitress loudly pressured me and kept questioning why I didn’t tip, saying that they pay taxes. I pay taxes too, and tipping should still be a personal choice. Being put on the spot like that in front of others made the experience uncomfortable and upsetting.

Best Latino restaurant in whole Montreal, food is authentic, the taste is amazing, the price are surprisingly really low for the portions. I came 3 times and all of them were incredible. Plus they have does nice tables outside with a view on the park on Lachine. 5/5

I've really enjoyed eating here in the past. More importantly I want to thank the restaurant for their great service. I was looking for a gift card but left it to the last minute. The restaurant kindly made arrangements for pick up. Thank you for your kindness and flexibility!

In my opinion, El Meson is the best Mexican restaurant in Canada,full stop. It’s the kind of place that deserves recognition in the Michelin Guide. Despite being a small, family-run restaurant, the level of quality, care, and authenticity in the food is exceptional. I regularly travel from Toronto and make it a point to stop here every single time, whether for lunch or dinner. I was first introduced to El Meson by a friend whose mother lives nearby, and since then, it has become a must-visit. What truly sets this place apart are the sauces they are absolutely outstanding. Each one is layered, rich, and clearly made with deep knowledge of traditional Mexican flavors. You can taste the craftsmanship in every bite. I would 100% recommend everything on the menu, but my personal favourite has to be the enchiladas with the house mole sauce absolutely incredible. The service is equally memorable. There is a lady server who is always there unfortunately, I never caught her name but she consistently elevates the entire experience. She is warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, and she has a way of making everyone feel welcome and taken care of. El Meson is more than just a restaurant it’s an experience. If you’re serious about authentic Mexican cuisine, this place is not optional.
